Whats crazy is that despite all that the Rivera era almost worked. And it was solely because that's how good Cam and Luke were. Cam making miracles and generating the running game for the team with a weak o-line. Luke being the Peyton Manning of LBer's putting everyone in the best position. Basically doing Ron's job for him. Could you imagine them on this team. Dynasty son.

I’d love to have him back but even if he wanted to it’s not for certain he would be the same guy. He’s leaned down so much. You’re expecting him to rebuild that physique that was tailored to explosiveness and speed. I’m not sure if muscle memory works like that. He could get huge again and never be like what he was.

I don’t care if Wilson is still elite or not. I simply don’t like the dude and don’t want his glorify God every game as if he would give a poo about a football game ass on my team. The greatest memory of the Cam era was us beating their ass twice in 2015. Roll with Sam until he shows he can’t be the guy then draft the franchise. If we’re gonna trade for a disgruntled QB I’d rather it be Rodgers because he would no doubt shred balls with this WR group.

Darnold looks better than advertised right now. We are still waiting to see if he has the clutch gene and can put the team on his back. Talent wise he’s second to Cam. Skill wise I’d put him below Delhommes prime. But Darnolds arm talent is no doubt the best we’ve seen apart from Cam. It’s hard to categorize his ceiling because he’s bigger than Rodgers, slimmer than Big Ben, but faster. Cannon arm with at times elite accuracy. Can be mobile and make the defense pay at any moment. If I had to compare him to anyone it would honestly be a slower version of Cam right now that plays the scheme versus the scheme designed around him.

You can’t have the perfect roster. If we wait and wait we end up losing our homegrown talent to FA. This team was a fringe playoff team last year with a better QB. We are drastically better than last year. There really isn’t much else to rebuild outside of the o-line.

If we want to beat Tampa this is the exact kind of secondary we need. They will cross these bridges when they get to them. Djax is playing his ass off and they’ll bring him back. We are seeing a shift in the priorities of our defense. It’s not all about the front seven anymore. It’s pass rush and secondary

Lol these are professional athletes that spend their whole lives to reach this level. The outcomes come down to the smallest mistakes. This is why Rhule is showing more promise than Rivera. For the first time we are beating the teams we are supposed to beat, handily.

I hope we get a stud FS but to be honest we probably won’t need one with the man coverage ability our CBs have. Burris is a solid option that got progressively better. Not saying I don’t want an upgrade but it probably won’t be realistic for us to have blue chip players at every position on D.

I think this years secondary has been aiding the pass rush. Which isn’t something you could really say for prior teams. 2013’s 4 man front was probably the best we’ve seen in terms of consistent in your face pressure. This years team has a better rush in totality if you factor in the talent plus the scheme.

Damn man. Arnold made some nice catches. Really hope Tremble and Thomas are up to the task. We are going to be overloaded at CB when Horn comes back. Not sure what the plan will be there.

Glad it’s not the Achilles. But what a bummer. Horn is a key piece. Donte Jackson has to play out of his mind.

Overall talent is better. But Cam and Luke Keuchly were trump cards.

This unit can be better overall than the 2015 defense. However situationally 2015 is superior because they had prime Luke Keuchly making all of the right adjustments before the snap. The 2021 defense is like an upgraded 2013 squad with better corners, and a better safety, minus Luke.
