  1. I actually cannot watch those commercials..leave the room or turn TV off for a min. Now that the last 3 years are over ........... and we are moving on.....can laugh a little a reading someone's absurd take on it.
  2. Sounds like Ron has seen the light!! Only took 12 years. He [Bieniemy] brought ideas to Washington about how he wanted to maximize practices for the offense. He brought a new offense; Rivera had favored one system since becoming a head coach in 2011 with Carolina. But Rivera also altered some of their practice routines this spring to accommodate Bieniemy. He liked that Bieniemy always had a plan -- or a reason for why he wanted something done a certain way. Because it was a new offense, with a young quarterback in Howell, Bieniemy wanted to do an install, then have meetings and then practice. In the past, they’d practice and then have meetings -- as other coaches have done in previous years. Also, the Commanders worked almost exclusively on their pass game this spring in full-team work, with a rare run play. It provided more reps for a young quarterback in Howell, giving the coaches a greater chance to see how he handled various situations. “After you’ve been in the same system for 12 years, change is always a good thing,” Rivera said about welcoming Bieniemy's new approach, “and it’s been really refreshing.” https://www.espn.com/blog/washington-commanders/post/_/id/42987/new-offensive-coordinator-eric-bieniemy-makes-presence-felt-with-commanders
  3. I don't think Ron is in charge of the offense this year. Bieniemy certainly did not go to Washington to have a defensive guy run his offense. IMO.
  4. I would go with this as long as the oline is holding up.
  5. ▪ Third-string quarterback Matt Corral received a bit of an uptick in team workload on Sunday. His highlight play was a laser in between defenders to Terrace Marshall in 7-on-7 work. Corral has had a solid camp thus far. Read more at: https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article277937733.html#storylink=cpy
  6. He was always going to start due to their owner
  7. Big lightening strike just now. Shut down computer and TV as it was very close.

  9. He and Hurney will likely lose another job together.
  10. I agree. If there was a good GM here when he started I think that would have made a big difference.
  11. And......don't forget....... Marty Hurney is a football executive who is the executive vice president of football for player personnel for the Washington Commanders. Also, Rivera has the Rhule authority. ....Rivera was also granted considerable authority over roster personnel, with him acting as the team's de facto general manager until the team hired Martin Mayhew for the role in 2021. Despite that, Rivera's final say over the team's personnel remained.
  12. North Carolina Southern food chain Bojangles opened its first Central Texas location in San Antonio on Monday, July 31. The famed chicken and biscuits purveyor opened at 8730 Potranco Road, and lines on opening day stretched around the block — one blogger reported a two-hour wait for her order. This is the latest in the chain’s expansion into Texas, which was announced in June 2021 and supposedly will include locations in Austin. There are currently three locations open in North Texas and one outside of Houston. https://austin.eater.com/2023/8/4/23820146/bojangles-san-antonio-opening-hotel-emma-new-chef
  13. In Kamara's absence, the Saints RB room is not barren, as free-agent signing Jamaal Williams, who led the NFL with 17 rushing touchdowns last season, will likely take on the lead role. New Orleans also drafted Kendre Miller in the third round. Eno Benjamin and rookie Ellis Merriweather could also see more prominent roles. Due to the suspension, Kamara will miss at least one game for the sixth consecutive season. New Orleans is 3-7 in games without Kamara over the course of his career. https://www.nfl.com/news/saints-rb-alvin-kamara-suspended-three-games-for-role-in-february-2022-incident-
  14. Broncos site hating on Hackett: Well, on Thursday, during the Hall of Fame game, Nathaniel Hackett and his Jets' offense put up 16 points, which I think is hilarious. Yes, it's the Hall of Fame game. It's just a preseason game, and most starters aren't even suiting up. There is absolutely no indication that the Jets scoring 16 points in this game is going to spill into the regular season. However, it is kind of funny to see. In Hackett's first game post-Broncos, his offense couldn't score 20 points. I do think it would be quite funny to see the Jets struggle on offense like that in the regular season. Maybe Aaron Rodgers is indeed over the hump a bit. Maybe Nathaniel Hackett isn't the best play-caller in the world. Only time will tell. https://predominantlyorange.com/posts/some-things-never-change-nathaniel-hackett-offense-still-scoring-16-points Stupid comment for a preseason game. Hope the Jets' O scorches the Broncos' D in week 5.
  15. Despite Ngakoue’s steadiness at piling up sacks, his lack of overall impact as a pass rusher and inconsistency as a run stopper were likely the reasons the Colts did not seek to retain him in free agency. Ngakoue, drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft by Jacksonville, has played for the Jaguars, Vikings, Ravens, Raiders and Colts. He earned a Pro Bowl spot in 2017. https://theathletic.com/4748074/2023/08/03/yannick-ngakoue-bears-contract/ He has played for a bunch of teams. Seems like a red flag. Also not sure we need to add someone who is not good in the run game. As someone said...Reich knows him. There is a reason the Panthers passed.
  16. I want to see more wins than last year...if not, I will be concerned.
