CJ stroud post game interview after Michigan loss
ladypanther replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Impressive young man...he is only 21 yrs old. Sadly, someone who had a tough childhood....father sentenced to 30+ yrs in prison when CJ was 13. Seems to have a loving mother who struggled working multiple jobs to support 4 kids. Family was close to being homeless at times. When college recruiters came to visit the family was living in a 2 bedroom apt over a storage facility office that his mother was managing. CJ does not like to talk about the struggles. Like any teenager with those challenges he could have become angry and acted out. He chose the other path. https://www.si.com/college/2022/12/30/cj-stroud-ohio-state-quarterback-family-father-mother- 21 replies

Adam Thielen interview with Pat MaCafee...
ladypanther replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
I credit Wilks with taking some swift actions to correct the course. He was the anti-Rhule that we needed at the time. It was obviously a very welcomed culture correction. Felt like we got our team back. Love what the new staff is doing. Fitt seems like a new man. -
LOL...forgot about Spartanburg.

He was born and raised in Minn. Went to college at Minn St and played for the Vikings. I hope he and his family enjoy winters that do not last 6-7 months and where temps at 45 below 0 are not a regular thing. Welcome to the South and I hope you and your family enjoy living in NC. Thanks for being a Panther.

Maybe hoping he will have a growth spurt by then.

Isn't the OC the one who traded him away at Houston?

What is it with these personal attacks today?

Tepper has partially redeemed himself. Agree let's see how the QB thing goes and if Tepper can continue to sit back and let the football people do their jobs. I am sure that is very hard for him as was admitting he made a mistake. He has made plenty of them so I hope the learning curve continues. Sometimes the more you learn the more you learn that you do not know. All that being said, I like what is happening right now. Refreshing and encouraging.

Some of you are forgetting that we have a real NFL staff now.

Good for PJ, wish him the best. That long TD bomb to DJ nearly changed the season.

Holding 2 teams hostage. What a jerk. The Jets are fools for putting up with this.

Tied with Favre.

I doubt even the local guys will really know. This group starting with coaching search has been leak proof so far. I love the professionalism.

https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/lists/panthers-2023-mock-draft-trade-bears-anthony-richardson-jalin-hyatt/ Richardson at 1. Not a fan of that. Also, think TE comes earlier. Pick No. 1 (First round): Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida Pick No. 39 (Second round): Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee Pick No. 93 (Third round): A.T. Perry, WR, Wake Forest Pick No. 114 (Fourth round): Zach Harrison, DE, Ohio State Pick No. 132 (Fourth round): Keaton Mitchell, RB, East Carolina Pick No. 145: Zack Kuntz, TE, Old Dominion

Don't see them giving up DJ with a plan to move down.

Don't think they have to be that tall from what he did here. 6' on tippy toes should do the job.

Can you imagine how busy the coaches and FO staff have been? There was the HC selection process. Then there was filling out all the staff which took a while. They must all be watching film 20 hrs a day and reading scouting reports to evaluate players, free agency and develop a tentative plan for the draft. Besides that the coaches are working together to develop the schemes on their side of the ball which also affects player selection. I am sure there are strong opinions on the QB pick and I would think there are 2 or maybe 3 QBs they feel like are above the rest. The smart thing to do would be for them to take a deep dive into these prospects to solidify the fav. So, is there a fav now? Probably. Could that change...might. IMO.
