I think the biggest challenge for Lance will be getting used to the difference between ‘NFL open’ versus ‘NDSU open’. All you have to do is turn on a highlight reel and you hear the announcer repeatedly say “wide open”. This is what some were saying about Tua last season. Tua was so used to his guys having 5-10 yards of separation in college. At the end of the day, all 3 guys come with question marks but I trust Rhule and co. to make the right decision.

Well that’s just it... how do we know for certain that’s not what these were? Maybe that apology text was him asking her to do something a little weird. Watson hasn’t had any off field things come up that I can recall until he said he wasn’t playing for the Texans again. McNair’s and this Buzbee character have a history of doing/saying stupid sh!t. Until there’s some legit hard evidence I’m going to give Watson the benefit of the doubt.

Well I’m assuming they’ll have more cap space available now than they had before this deal. We can create a good chunk by doing the same thing with Moton. The Panthers have a ton of available cap space to work from if they really want to

Both of those starters had negative trade value given their contracts. The Bears 1st rounder is 20th overall. That doesn’t help Seattle at all. They don’t have a 1st of their own until 2023. Taking a QB at 8 means we probably end up with Lance. I can get behind drafting Lance but you need to remember what that means in terms of being competitive in the near future. Lance is going to sit his 1st year most likely. Then year 2 he’ll be a rookie. Year 3 if all pans out and Lance isn’t a bust we may be competitive. If you draft Lance, you cannot afford to have him be a bust. That literally sets us back 4 years minimum because you’re most likely going to give him 2 years of playing time to make your decision to move on. I’m honestly surprised so many people are against trading for Wilson. If we could trade for Zach Wilson then my stance would change but I don’t think the Jets trade out. Fields like Lance, may also need a year to sit and learn... This is a HUGE decision, one that will make or break Rhule’s time here.

Hicks who is now seeking a trade and Fuller who they released. The fact that Seattle even slept on this makes me think they’re open to dealing Wilson still

Both had 10 sacks and 3 forced fumbles last season. Obviously there’s a ton more besides these two stats but yeah. One is 30 on a huge contract while the other is going into his 3rd season on a rookie deal and is still improving. It ain’t even close imo

Same. Trubisky is someone you could probably make enough excuses for to sell yourself on the possibility of him becoming good but I’d rather not be the ones to try. He’s basically a white Teddy at the surface level and I don’t feel like going down that road again. Aim higher
