Never said he was legally liable as an actor. I said he was responsible for the weapon in his possession. According to reports, there had already been 2 accidental discharges on set which would make one think, hey I need to be extra careful. It would have taken a couple seconds to release the wheel on the revolver, visually verify they are dummy rounds and close the gun. His legal liability as a producer has yet to be determined and that's likely where his liability will come into play. What he knew about the armored and her experience and safety conditions on set will most definitely be scrutinized. I'm a huge proponent of gun safety and think complacency is the biggest danger surrounding gun ownership and use. It's terrible this happened when it was 100% preventable, but man, you just never take anything for granted when you're holding a functional weapon.

Any time a gun is put in your hand, you treat it as if it is loaded. He pointed the firearm at people not in the movie and pulled the trigger. At the very least, that's extremely poor judgement. I didn't say he was liable. I said he was responsible for his actions. He pointed a weapon loaded with an unknown (to him) ordinance. There were live rounds on the set along with blanks and dummy rounds. When the gun is in your hand, you are responsible. It takes a couple of seconds to visually verify what is loaded if you didn't watch the gun get loaded in front of you. You always have to know what is in your hand.

He absolutely did. Whether you think it's loaded or unloaded, you never point a weapon at anything or anyone you don't want to destroy and you most certainly don't take for granted a weapon is "safe" unless you have unloaded it or seen it unloaded. You always treat any firearm as though it's loaded even when it's not. That's basic firearms safety 101.

Donte Jackson is gonna get paid a lot of money this offseason

Just because we were robbed in the first 2... -
Was Goff ever a good long term QB?

So this was or wasn’t a hospital ball by Darnold?
SmokinwithWilly replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brady is the GOAT qb and he has valid points about protecting yourself and the receivers, but let's not BS ourselves. He is the most protected QB in the league by the league and it ain't even close. -

Don't consider it a hospital ball because of the angle of the defender. If he had been running directly into him, yes its a hospital ball. Watching it, it's a perfectly timed hard hit in a perfect spot to rock Robbie. -
Yeah, really no contest there.

Okudah may never be the same after that injury and if we could somehow package Dante and a pick/mid tier player for Sewell I would do it. -
At least he recognizes there's an issue and is seeking help to fix it. Too many times for too many people this ends badly and just gets swept under the rug and forgotten about.

Genuinely wondering about the fairness of the refs today.
SmokinwithWilly replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
We expressed interest in trading for Watson which could have forced a decision by Goodell to let him play which could have some very serious bad PR for the league. Ref job is our punishment for possibly making Goodell look bad. -
7-2 beers to shots by halftime.

Just how bad has Robby Anderson been?

I miss Bersin. He couldn't do a lot but his hands were glue. -
This “analytics” conditioning is garbage

Players are demanding more and more of their bodies. The harder you push, the more likely you're going to have something break. -
Christianson leads the team in sacks preventing 2.5 turnovers.

I wanted Trubisky or Minshew, both of whom could have been had for much less. I'm trying to be supportive of Darnold since he's our QB but damn he can make it difficult.

Where Are We Really -- One Season and 7 Games Into It...
SmokinwithWilly replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
The way Darnolds been handled is the strangest part of all of this. If we're going to treat him like a rookie, and expect him to perform like one, then having PJ as a backup makes no sense. Darnold would need to sit and learn behind someone or from coaches, which he supposedly lacked with the Jets. You don't go and extend him for 18m as a "rookie". It's like paying bloated contracts to QBs 15 years ago because they were the first pick. That's essentially what we did. If it's possible with all the VR tech out there now, I'm putting Sam in a simulation constantly making him learn to see defenses from the field over and over again. There's only so much you can work on in practices. In some areas we're better than we were, in others well, we know. Coaching players up only goes so far in the NFL. These are all higher end players already and you can only bring them so far. They either have it or they don't.
