NFL really started losing me during SB 50. Carolina lost, someone has to. But I have never seen such a ridiculous amount of bias in refereeing. Opening game 2016, Cam is headhunted, nothing. He gets told you're not old enough to get that call. Brady or Rodgers gets a finger touch on the helmet and it's roughing the passer. It's not just Carolina that deals with this. The NFL has its darling players and franchises and more and more, games feel scripted like WWE. Goodell has been a terrible commissioner for the NFL. It's hard to demand integrity from players when the league office has none.

A Walmart out here used to offer a raffle ticket for every cart you brought back inside from outside. The prize was a $250 GC, a $100 GC, and a $50 GC every other week. Worked great. Was never a cart outside. So naturally they ditched the idea. Why use your greeter to hand out tickets when you can hire cart runners.

When you have no support system, you can get pretty damn frazzled. Sometimes all you need is just to know you have some help if you need it and it's not all up to you to fix it. Closest thing I can think to compare it to is 1st couple days cooking in a restaurant vs being there a year. 10 tickets at once and you might panic a little on your first couple days, a year later, and it's "hold my beer".

That would be insanely fun too watch, if it worked. I've always thought Cam made sense here if he could be Darnold's backup and we were serious about making a run for a championship. The downside obviously is his personality is so big, he could cause a distraction among the fanbase and media. We all know his shoulder isn't the same and he wears down over a full season. But if he had to come in and play the last 3 or 4 games and we could be in the playoffs, Cam could lead that run and I have much more faith in his abilities to do so than Walker.

Teddy was 0-8 in the 4th with the game on the line. It would be hard for him to do worse.

Fair to remember that the rookies haven't had any time in real speed NFL games against top tier talent. If we rotate them in some and they perform better, by all means, start them. I'm good with getting a little live time under their belts.

If it wasn't for the contract, I think Elf would have been cut. He just looks terrible, and Erving could very easily fall in that same category. Since both are injury magnets, I think the best thing to do is let them play, get hurt, get stashed on IR and we sign a FA OT and guard. Or even snag off someone else's practice squad. If they do gel and do ok, great, but I'm not holding my breath.

Unfortunately Tremble can't block everyone. Elfien and Paradis worry me the most. At the beginning of the 2nd we will see Moton on the left and Christianson on the right.

Biggest concern is Darnold getting rattled early and often from the left side of the line. If I'm the Jets, I'm attacking non stop from that side until we can stop it.

I don't care if he hops, skips, jumps, does the tango, whatever. If he wins us games and can become our franchise guy, that's all that matters.

I mentioned it in another thread. We are just going to let Elf get hurt on the first couple of series so we can put him on IR and add a guard. As long as he's not starting he's a backup and taking up a roster spot.

Sort of. Elfien was an immediate FA signing. He wasn't the best guard available by far. This looked like a bad signing from day 1.
