Please for 2 seconds take a look at the surrounding circumstances that the team was looking at before this move... 2 seconds.. 3 QBS gone after the 1st 3 picks that is reality now... ... Atlanta isn't helping us at fuging all.. Either they pick a QB or trade with another team that wants a QB. So that's 4 gone in the top 4 picks... So now the panthers are sweating the next 3 picks or getting fleeced of assets for the 5th QB in this draft.. How is that a smart position to be in???

Carr was 28 when he came here and was in the beat down factory for 5 years.. Sam Darnold is 5 years younger and hasn't spent nearly that much time getting destroyed.

You call it outmaneuvered.. But reality is how many of you arm chair GM think it's really a smart move to give up 2 to 3 years of 1st round picks and some 2nd rounders for the 3rd best QB in this draft.. "FOR THIS TEAM" San Francisco is a different situation with not much needs.. That is not us... If that's a great move for us for you ....smh... okay ... Not for me... I'd rather give up very small compensation take a calculated risk and still have as much of my assets the next couple years to make moves if needed..

If Teddy was such a big boy he wouldn't have done the little girl move of changing his social media.. Making a scene out of him not following the team anymore... And he would be with Will Grier trying to get better with his weapons... He has gone ghost pretty much this whole offseason.. Just because you're paying a player doesn't mean they will give you their best effort..

This is another great point. You get to add stuff to the team without giving up crazy compensation for a rookie..

I'm definitely more interested then watching Teddy play (with no motivation) PJ and Grier..

Like I said after Deshaun, not being anywhere near getting Lawrance, and Wilson then the 49ers trade.. This was the best scenario for me.. I also think the Falcons were going to fug us... So some how some way you were only looking at a slim chance for the 5th best QB in this draft..

A few examples.. The Throw to Bell was special.. The 49ers across the body while escaping the rush was filthy.. The one to Periman in double zone coverage was straight gas...

I don't always agree with Scot but this is a no brainer.. Build a Oline and Secondary your only real hole is QB .. If Darnold falls on his face.. A QB next year comes into a good situation.

That bridge was burnt when the guy writing the pay checks came out and trashed Teddy..

The case simply is low risk high reward chance with a top 5 pick talent player..

I couldn't in good conscious give up 3 1st round picks for a 30+ year old QB and say that was a good move I can't..

To be honest.. I have it like this with Sam in this draft.. 1. Trevor 2. Wilson 3. Lance/Darnold 4. Fields Funny part about your 2nd statement is overall statically this was Teddy best year..lol So they did something with him he just refused to take that extra step.. I'd rather build the wall (oline) and Secondary and if Sam doesn't workout you're in the same place next year with a better overall team and maybe a chance at a better option at QB.. This year the team won to many games.. Watson can't keep his personal business "personal" and every other QB needing team was in a better position to get a QB then you...

No reward without risk.. I like the risk reward calculation on this move better.. If I was trading that much draft Capitol I wanted Watson... That isn't going to happen now... I love 3 QB in this draft and 2 were gone by pick 3.. At that point I like Darnold better then the other 2.. Now we test my theory can good coaching bring out superior talent?? We will find out

Teddy has been done for months .. The whole organization has been shitting on him the entire offseason.. This was a done deal a long time ago..

I said it could happen weeks ago.. If the compensation was low.. Low risk high reward for a 23 year former top 3 pick talent player.. Not bad... Now build this Oline and Secondary up.. And let's play!! And Remember we have alot of FA money next 2 years.. So the draft won't be our only way to build this team.. I'm good with this.
