He gave a solid effort to a thankless situation.. If he was hired full time I wouldn’t have a problem with it.. Especially when the only other option is a bunch of “hot new” OC’s with no HC experience..

This is a practice in what part of the off-season fits a certain need on the team.. Would you rather a position be filled by the Draft or FA.. in no certain order and JMO of needs.. QB, MLB ,WR, Pass rusher, TE, Oline depth, maybe CB with Djax injury, maybe RB.. QB draft MLB draft WR draft TE draft Oline depth draft RB draft Free agency Pass Rusher, CB

Not a good look.. But reality is he was going to get a 2nd chance somewhere and the only loser (basketball wise of course) was going to be the Hornets.. And the sad part on this is society wise ppl will be mad at 1st but if he does all the community work and the team starts winning again ppl will move on..

If Wilkes makes the playoffs with this staff.. Keep it intact.. Keep some consistency and let them have a year without Rhule to put this together..

Please don’t do this.. Don’t fall into the same trap of hiring inexperienced ppl especially with this owner and Wilkes not establishing himself yet as a HC.. Also as a defensive guy handing your offense to inexperienced coach is a recipe for disaster.. If Wilkes was a offensive guru maybe.. But as a defensive coach background you have no safe guards when this guy fugs up..

Let’s be real here.. Nobody here is saying Mcadoo is Macvay level coach.. But you’re not getting a Macvay level coach are you??? Where is the Macvay you want to bring here??

Didn’t even make it 1 year.. Crap shoot coach hiring is a thing.. Sometimes if you have a good thing you keep it instead of THE hot now Coordinator or College coach..

I do as well .. But there needs to be a plan of keeping some stability (Wilkes and Mcadoo).. So we keep this Identity and not learning a new playbook again.. That’s good for Darnold, Corral and the rest of the team to help bring along a rookie QB..

At this point yes.. essentially as a bridge so your not throwing Richardson, Levi or Corral on the field day 1 because I don’t believe anybody after Young or Stroud are day 1 ready.. And at this point if you’re keeping Wilkes I don’t see us getting anybody to develop QB’s better then Mcadoo..

I think Sam looks more competent and confident then he ever has.. He isn’t seeing ghosts and actually reading the defense for the 1st time since he’s been here… wilkes my give the philosophy. But he isn’t working with Sam directly.. He isn’t calling or designing offensive plays.. The Arby package is Mcadoo right?? Using Shenualt like a decoy is Mcadoo right… The running game design and play calls is who??
