I miss having hope. Outside of 2015 the Panthers have never been a dominant team, but as OP said, we were decent and challenged for a playoff spot every couple of years. I just don't see any way out of the situation we're in. No coach or GM in his right mind wants to work for Tepper, so we're left with unqualified guys like Canales and Morgan. I have zero faith that things will get better and I really hate that I feel that way.

Absolutely the worst starting QB in the league. WTF is that? 4th and 1 and you throw it out of the endzone. Mensa level genius out there.

The sad thing is that I don't even see a solution or have any hope. Does anyone trust Morgan to pick a good QB? How about trusting Tepper to hire a good coach or a good GM? It's a sick joke at this point and an insult to fans of this franchise.

I don't believe in Bryce but I'd love to be wrong and see him do well. Unfortunately, I think we're gonna be stuck in QB purgatory where Bryce does enough to keep the front office guessing about whether or not to move on.

My overreaction: A jugs machine with a Panthers jersey would automatically be our best QB backup - and might be the starter if Bryce keeps playing like he did today.

Folks who say preseason results don't matter are only 1/2 right. Preseason wins and losses don't really matter, but it does matter when your entire team plays like ass. I can't believe I get excited to watch this team every year when they generally just find new ways to disappoint.

Not sure why I do this to myself season after season. Hard to fathom this team being competitive again unless Tepper sells. Also - fug Evero.

My history as a Panthers fan has told me that I don't know poo about player evaluation so I'll just hope for the best again. I will say this, I have read and heard a ton about TMac's inability to get separation. Ted Ginn got a lot of separation, but it didn't really help because his hands were average. If TMac can capitalize when the ball comes his way, he might turn out ok. Not to mention that separation doesn't matter as much in the red zone where everyone is bunched up. I'd be happy to have a cheat code type WR in the end zone.

Agree 100%. At this point it's tough to argue that our 1st and 2nd round picks weren't drafted too high. Whether it's Tepper, the GM, or the scouts, the front office has made some head scratching decisions in the last few years.

I'm probably at 5/10 for Dave. I'd love to see more consistency, and I also feel like he needs to continue to grow into being HC and play caller. Sometimes the whole operation on offense looks fantastic, and then there are major duds like the Dallas or TB away game. I'm more wait and see on Morgan. I agree with some of the other posters who mention a need to improve college scouting. If that happens I think we have a good HC and GM combo.
