Day 1 starter. That’s all I care about. One that will last past his roomie contract.

Maybe Bryce can get it together in the next 2 years when Cousins is about ready to retire. We were never competing for the division next year. Just take steps forward for 2025
-
He’s not good, but in all reality it’s not the end of the world. Hurst is gone so still need TE depth and can take a mid or late round rookie so can move on from him next year and possibly Tremble too if he develops nicely. We were never going to turn this thing around in one off season.

The man that should be our top target in FA

I'd rather have KJ Osborn or Kendrick Bourne come be our #3 over Barkley. He is about to go to a playoff team. I dont even bother thinking about Barkley. -
Carolina Panthers will have trouble building roster for 2024
PappyMay replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
no, he's making a point of what they've given up to get those guys. Using little draft assets to get WR's -
I’m fully expecting Brown to get 21-23 a year at this point and I’m not mad about it.
-
My first thought is dang it sure would be nice to get a pro bowler in the 3rd round instead of a QB that’s out the league in 2 years or 3rd string linebacker.
-
unless its like a 2nd and 4th i wouldn't bother trading him. Just tell him hey. We will Tag you again. Only goes up to like 27 mil the next year i believe?

I’d be interested to know what players from Charlotte area that won’t count towards the 30 will get visits. Any local studs?

Carolina Panthers will have trouble building roster for 2024
PappyMay replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m prepared to suck again but hoping for 5 wins. I know it will be hard to do sadly. I just don’t want to see any dumb contracts handed out. Also really hope to hit on 2-3 future starters in the draft. I’m not against one more year of Jackson or Sanders then move in next year for dead cap purposes. I try hard to be optimistic just is getting tougher and tougher. I was really hoping Mays or Zavala could take a guard spot to save some money to spend elsewhere but just can’t seem to do it. And LoL at our TE situation. -
Evans was never coming here. No way that man doesn't go play for a team expecting to be in the playoffs. We are a team that should just hope to break 5 wins.
-
We don't have the assets to trade for him. I'd be glad to take him at $29 million but we simply don't have the resources to acquire him via trade. What kind of package would you try to put together? No first this year, no 2nd next?

Panthers building new training facilities
PappyMay replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’d expect something like the new Cole Field house Maryland has. Atleast will be more professional than that Atrium Health blow up tent they have now. -
Like many here are saying, we can't afford to give up assets to pay him that price. If he was a free agent. I'd be all for giving him 29 mil over giving Burns 29. But we are just too depleted of resources to trade for him. Just praying we hit on the next Tank Dell or Puka this year.
-
I'd rather see one more year of Young. Bryce is only 22 years old. I'm prepared to give him another year. If I'm the Commanders I probably wouldn't trade Howell. Solid backup QB for 500k a year. Hard to beat that even if he doesn't start.
-
i'd like that trade too. essentially two late first rounders since He was just taken at pick 30 last year. No reason he wouldnt atleast replace YGM.

Josina Anderson thoughts on the Burns situation
PappyMay replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If he’s wanting 30 I have to think whatever we can do with YGM and what I assume would be a late first rounder for him would be more beneficial to the team then giving him 30 mil a year. If he would have taken a Crosby type deal I’d of been all for him but he is over valuing himself. I’m sure if he goes to a contender he will be on prime time games getting even more praise so will make us look silly even if in reality it helped us rebuild.
