Yes. I feel like this isn’t stated enough, he has more leverage than ppl think. If they don’t trade him, he sits out, at least with a trade Texans will get something rather than nothing. He has the say where he goes, if we give a decent offer AND he wants to come here, he’s here.

Very true, but doesn’t he have the final say where he goes? A team could outbid us, but our deal could be good enough and he’d rather come here than NYJ. I’m not saying that’s true, it’s hypothetical.

I don’t know if you’re familiar with John Ellis on Twitter but he’s said something similar. He was posting highlights of Watson’s career and someone asked if he knew something. He the mentioned he had a source that said this situation is something worth monitoring. He’s not going to lie, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to happen either. I don’t think this is just some fan made speculation.

I took it as it’s possible. John Ellis has said the same thing on his twitter, something along the lines of it’s something to monitor.

Edit:The bottom pic is supposed to be the first one. This is from Voth, so yes, I’d say getting a qb is going to happen. Doesn’t necessarily mean Watson, but one will be on the roster.
