  1. The ball was thrown as soon as he cleared the LB. Above are the next two steps. Ball is already out in the 2nd frame before Mingo clears the hash.
  2. Gabe Davis for me. Young <25yo Cheaper (projected ~12.5mil per) 6’3 Could instantly be our best skill position player next year unless Theilen maintains his play in the slot. Lock him up 4-5 years and we would still have plenty of cap to add to the WR room.
  3. I should just move on, but this is way off. You suggest Bryce should have hit Mingo about middle of the field here. There is very clearly a LB squatting in the middle of the field. Bryce threw it when he should have and the fact that Mingo drifted off his drag line by 3 yards opened a window for the INT.
  4. Some Huddlers would claim Tremble is open here. The DB would plant his foot to defend the pass to Tremble if Bryce threw it there. The only thing Bryce could have done better, upon review, is step up in the pocket to allow either Tremble or Mingo to come open. With that said, he’s probably thinking Mingo will run the route in blue which wouldn’t have ended as poorly.
  5. You don’t think our WRs being the worst in the NFL at getting open affects our QB? Interesting
  6. They’re saying this is the worst collection of WRs we’ve probably ever faced. Jump every squatting route with no fear.
  7. CJ looks like a great young QB whose WRs are getting open at a rate around middle of the pack in the NFL. Bryce hasn’t even had a shot.
  8. A WR the Vikings decided to cut instead of paying a measly $12mil for just a year ago. Theilen has been good for us, but let’s not pretend like Bryce has much help.
  9. There are few things I’d rather see from a rookie QB than the ability to move a defense away from where you intend to throw. It’s very difficult to manipulate NFL defenders. To do so as a rookie, even for one play, is special.
  10. My son is 9 and plays QB. Trying to get him to pay attention to formations and defenses. Hate our scheme though.
  11. There have been plays that are above average for NFL QBs. Did you miss them? The spin out of a sack and dot to Theilen on the run. The moving of a DB with his eyes/fake then hitting Mingo (I believe). The scramble and finding Theilen at the goal line. Those were great plays.
  12. So his size is what you’re referencing….got it. The only reason I might advocate sitting Bryce for the remainder of this season is so he could focus on adding 10-15lbs before next year. Batted balls were a big concern with his height. Haven’t seen that issue much this year. I think he can overcome the height, but he needs to be able to run through some arm tackles that have been sacks this year.
  13. History says a lot of franchise QBs weren’t in their rookie seasons. Anything else?
  14. Accuracy: A from the pocket; B- on the run. See the recent graph posted here supporting Bryce’s accuracy. He’s putting it where he wants most of the time with some bad decisions in the mix. He’s sailed some I think he should hit while moving out of the pocket. Many of his incompletions are intentional throw always bc plays are dead with no chance. Arm Strength: C+ I think he has adequate arm strength, but his footwork fails his arm at times. Mechanics: D Biggest improvement needed here imo, with emphasis on his lower half mirroring his eyes during progressions. Elusiveness: C- in the pocket. B+ on the run. He’s made some nice moves in open field to evade tacklers. His movement in the pocket needs work. Release: A Size: F He needs to spend this off-season prioritizing adding 10+ lbs of lean muscle. Mobility/Running Ability: B+ See above. It seems pretty clear the coaches and Bryce don’t want him running a lot this year. Physical Toughness: B+ He missed one game so far and he’s under relentless pressure. Seems pretty tough to me.
  15. Olsen, Parsons, multiple NFL analysts, and QB gurus tell us Bryce’s eval is incomplete due to the terrible situation he’s in, and we’re supposed to take huddle posters’ opinions that Bryce isn’t NFL material why?
  16. He just wants to whine, trash Bryce, and ridicule those who don’t. Save your time & effort.
  17. But this throw was outside the numbers and would have hit Mingo in the chest…
  18. A lot of posters in this thread showing their lack of football knowledge. OP is correct. When Bryce is separating to throw, Tremble is not open. Mingo runs the route incorrectly. If Bryce waits until Tremble comes open, he’s getting pummeled bc our line can’t pass block. We have posters here that think you can screen shot the moment the ball reaches the receiver and use it to see who is open. That’s idiocy.
  19. We don’t have a 2nd rounder next year, but we do have our 1st.
  20. You just posted that one of the best WRs of this millennium wouldn’t help us win games.
  21. I think he wants anyone perceived to be an upgrade. I respect that he seems desperate to improve the team and isn’t a complacent, absentee owner. With that said, he clearly isn’t an evaluator of talent who should have input on the roster.
  22. Abanikanda will be a solid NFL RB imo. He’ll form a good duo with Hall. Michael Carter should be a Panther. Only cost 1mil for next year. No brainer, but so was selecting Howell over <google to remember name> Corral.
  23. RB1 WR1 LG1 RG1 (majority of season) CB1 CB2 (missed some) MLB1 Chinn rarely plays YGM & Burns missing some Ioannidis > Tuttle
