  1. Uh, oh. That's looking like the rattled Panthers version of Sam Darnold.
  2. Seeing how Bryce worked well together with Thielen from the beginning, Coker finding success in his rookie season makes sense. If you know what you're doing on the field and you have good hands, ball is coming your way and good things are going to happen. We really should be looking for those traits in receivers going forward.
  3. The completion percentage is a weird one. His rookie season, so much of our offense was behind LOS/short yardage stuff which often went nowhere but should've boosted the completion percentage. This season, that short stuff still doesn't go anywhere but Canales is far more aggressive with the downfield lower completion stuff. Also, Canales has been emphasizing that a throwaway is still a good play, better than an unnecessary sack. Bryce had been taking a lot of those earlier, but he's been more willing to chuck it out safely, maybe a bit too much at times.
  4. Watching this defense makes me upset. I just don't know what to be upset about. I see the lack of adjustments down to dealing with a workplace where you're constantly firing and hiring new people. Just getting all these new players - and with many of them lacking NFL experience in general - to even understand their own assignments on a new team in such short order is hard enough, let alone coordinating with everyone else. Heard on TV today our team has played the most amount of players on the field this season. Flat out no consistency on the defensive side at all. Not necessarily trying to excuse Evero but I could easily see how he can be severely restricted on what he could call because he keeps dealing with new faces every single week. This is what is making me want to ditch the 3-4 altogether. I really don't like how an entire defense can fall apart by losing one player - or in our case - unable to find a good one.
  5. I still remember RG3 being called a franchise QB and argued by the media as better than Cam. That certainly didn't age well in retrospect. As such, I really don't like using that term until well after the fact. No real point anointing Bryce Young as anything more than the unquestioned starter for 2025. Honestly, going into this season, that's the best outcome we could've hoped for.
  6. The answer seems obvious that it was mainly on Reich. But the situation he walked into was unusual. He didn't get the freedom he would've elsewhere, forced to either work with prior regime coaches or bringing in guys that he wasn't as familiar with to put an "all-star" staff together. The whole deal of whether he really wanted Bryce is one of those speculation things we may never get a true answer on since he's not the type of guy to air dirty laundry. Finally, he barely had anything to work with in general, especially the O-line. That interior was such a sieve that it almost didn't matter what we ran. It was going to get busted up. Regardless, the offensive scheme we ran was flat-out archaic garbage which was supposedly a mix of what Reich and Brown wanted. Who knows? I'm inclined to believe that was more on Reich as I recall Colts fans pointing out similar flaws with what he ran at Indy. In retrospect, I don't think Reich was going to work out regardless. The impression I get given how tight-lipped everyone is about what happened last season implies thing behind the scenes was not good at all, even toxic. That's the most surprising thing because Reich really isn't the guy to stir up trouble like that.
  7. Feels like a coin flip right now. Wouldn't be surprised either way.
  8. Another great Panthers moment we can add to the gif collection:
  9. Got sacked once but that was on a play the Falcons were offsides. Immediate pressure on the final 2nd down in regulation. That's all I remember. Really wasn't that much defense on either side today. Even the one turnover we got was a bit of a fluke.
  10. Was worried about not having Hunt but O-line held up well today. Granted, I also think the Falcons pass rush really wasn't there much today, but gotta win the matchups we get.
  11. Patriots winning cost them the first overall pick today. It's going to be hard shaking off the perception on why he got fired so quickly after the game.
  12. It is the worst possible outcome. I pooed someone and I rarely ever do that.
  13. Broncos with a ridiculous juggling touchdown.
  14. Patriots had the 1st draft pick locked with a loss today... but they won anyways. So yeah, draft position certainly matters to fans and front office people but coaches and players? if they care even a little, they'll try to win.
  15. I'll be a man and say Miles Sanders made me eat crow at least for today. Still not sure he has a future here, but a great ending to his time here if he's gone.
  16. When you win like THAT, draft position? Who cares? BY did the Falcons dirty and I love it.
  17. Oh, god. I feel another Nakamura moment coming.
  18. 3rd and 20 and we allow a TD. Quintessential Panthers D.
  19. Every opposing offensive player gets at least five free yards because we can't tackle.
  20. I was questioning Canales for playing our starters on offense today. Well, he's shutting me up right now. Just about everyone has had a good moment. Also, our defense technically pitched a shutout for a quarter. Surely, they'll make up for it in the fourth quarter.
  21. Our defense actually allowed no points on a drive? That's illegal.
  22. Bryce looking away signaling touchdown before Tremble even catches it is downright filthy. More of this, please.
  23. Every side pass is a waste of a play. We don't have anyone that can make people miss and break tackles.
