Lol, name something I said that was non factual. I was always open to the possibility of either team getting the one seed. As a fan I wanted UNC to get it. Fact is, UNC is fortunate not to lose that 1 seed, and you are fortunate to get bailed out after acting like a smug ass for zero reason when you clearly didn’t realize how close it was. Your whole reasoning of what the “experts” said, lol, let’s talk about how the experts were talking all day about whether it would be Iowa State or UNC as the final 1. According to them it wasn’t the “lock” for UNC that you were selling. A broken clock is right twice per day, doesn’t change anything about you looking uninformed and arrogant in your ignorance.

The rivalry is just one way now and has been for many years. State should be embarrassed by that and the fact that they’ve all become Duke fans since their program has been trash since the 80’s. I would love for State to be relevant, it’s good for UNC and the ACC as a whole, but the fact is they are a worse program than many mid majors and they should be ashamed. The ACC title game was their national championship. UNC should have been ready for that. Embarrassing loss to a bad team and bad program with a 1 seed potentially on the line.

Honestly getting the top 2 seed might be better than getting the West region as the 4th 1 seed.

They weren’t a lock with a loss. Losing to NC State is a bad loss as the final impression before the selection committee determines seeding, while not strengthening their resume much by beating FSU and Pitt on the way to the title game. Iowa State just beat the #1 team in the country, has better bpi, more quality wins, better wins over higher ranked opponents, and fewer bad losses. I think you don’t know what you’re talking about. Hopefully they beat State and it’s all moot.

Why wouldn’t they? If UNC loses to State, they will have same record, but Iowa State has better wins, and coming off beating a #1 seed and winning conference tourney vs. coming off losing to an otherwise non tournament team.

Honestly I was a little down on him before the past couple years, but definitely appreciating him more now for what he is than caring about what he isn’t. Part of that definitely has to do with him agreeing to be paid for what he is and not what he isn’t though…unlike some guys who are no longer with the team.

I don’t know the full details, but I do believe Kendricks just did that switching from an agreement with the 49ers to the Cowboys. I think what is likely happening is that most people have this inner code that they will not renege on a deal once they have agreed to it, whether it is official in writing or not. I say this as somebody who works in sales and sees it all the time. Also, they may worry about their reputation throughout the league for future deals.

I’d love to get Clowney, tbh. Yeah he’s a mercenary, but he can play either standing up or with his hand in the dirt, and is the definition of playing the run on the way to the QB. Always been a great run defender. Get him and a younger pass rush specialist like Wonnum for cheap, add Haynes coming back from injury, DJ Johnson for depth, maybe draft a guy, and I think that is a lot better than our Burns/YGM combo last year.
