The Hornets then still make the pick and the trade is announced. Kind of weird to assume a pick swap was on the table with Portland and the Hornets turned it down. That doesn’t make sense. That’s why you’re mad it didn’t happen, because it doesn’t make sense for them to not do it if it’s available. Why would you assume it was available rather than the most likely reason it didn’t happen: it wasn’t available.
