  1. Different times, the league is becoming more pass heavy every year. Mcgahee sat out a whole season if I recall, panthers are trying to win right now. We shouldn't be waiting to see if a player is fully healthy. Before start bringing up Lynch keep in mind the Seahawks didn't draft him, the patriots just won a SB without a feature back, the ravens won it with a 3rd round back. I'm not going to sugar coat it I would hate if we draft a rb in the first 2 rounds
  2. Why do people keep bringing up Luke? Gettleman wasn't even in Carolina when Luke got drafted
  3. Yes I'll be pretty upset The only rb worth a first round pick is AP maybe Marshawn. People keep saying this RB class is deep so why draft one in the first? And that's a guy coming off injury.
  4. The question he asked was were they winning before those FA signings, and I replied Seattle wasn't. What does this have to do with the draft? Everyone knows the main source of building a team is through the draft but SB winning teams like I mentioned above seem to spend in FA more than those mid tier teams.
  5. UGA RB haven't exactly been lighting the NFL on fire either, and last year they replaced Gurley with a true freshman and he seem to produce just as good.
  6. Next years class is just as good, the two Bama backs, the two razorbacks, the kid from Pitt and the OSU RB, that's from top of my head there are probably more.
  7. We had enough money to sign Shorts, we also have enough to sign Crabtree. And since next year we have a ton of cap space we can always backload a contract, which would barely even smidge next years cap.
  8. That's the thing neither Ingram or Spiller has done much thus far in their career. Spiller has been out played by UDFA Fred Jackson, while Ingram got out played by Thomas, Ivory and Sproles. All I'm saying is the rb position is interchangeable I'm ok with Fozzy getting more carries and sharing the load with Tolbert if Stewart gets hurt. And if next season we get rid of Stewart we can draft a rb next year. We don't have to get ahead of ourselves always thinking about the future
  9. Neither McCoy or Murray went in the first round. And both Spiller and Ingram weren't worth their first round billing, both have also been out produced by guys drafted in lower rounds. I think for now we are ok at the rb position.
  10. Meh Running backs are a dime of dozen, you can pick one up as an UDFA and still produce. And theirs always next years draft. I think we have much bigger needs Gurley doesn't blow me away to be honest.
  11. Could we go one draft without drafting a RB please. Let Stewart, Tolbert and Fozzy carry the load
  12. I can look like a good GM if I have a QB who can make Austin Collie, Anthony Gonzalez and Blair White into decent receivers. I bet Polian was thinking to himself damn I'm a genius.
  13. I never said that, but people here seem to think that building through the draft is the only way.
  14. Pats yes, Ravens yes, Seahawks no Those FA signings put them over the top
  15. The jury is still out on him, he had an up and down rookie season.
  16. I'm happy for Rivers, that front office has been mistreating him for years.
  17. Meh I guess Oher is an upgrade over Bell, buts its like replacing something terrible with something mediocre, Mitchell was basically a product of Rivera Even with Ginn here our special teams wasn't that good, our offense was also struggling with him getting reps All I know is guys like Shorts and Washington would have been perfect here and cheap at the same time, I think both would have helped Cam more than what Ginn can. And that whole familiarity thing did play a part, but what got the offense clicking was the fact that they were using Cam like a running back (which is can't be done for a whole season) and Stewart started producing the last part of the season. Statistically speaking the passing game stayed the same.
  18. I don't think we can fill our biggest off season needs by bringing in Oher and Ginn. Oher has been under performing for 2 straight seasons and this is the same Ginn that had drop issues in Carolina, the same Ginn who got beat out by a rookie. I mean Cecil Shorts just signed for 3 million a year, IMO he would be a better option than Ginn, same goes for Nate Washington who I doubt will be asking for a lot.
  19. Yep one move 4 years ago = active Its also makes me wonder why we haven't been more active in the trading block, we got Greg Olsen by a trade why not try another trade?
  20. Trades are basically part of free agency And what does it matter that all of them weren't signed in the same off season? If anything that means those teams are constantly going after FA every off season.
  21. What is there to grasp? Bad teams do overpay for free agents like the raiders and redskins. That doesn't mean SB winning teams don't spend in free agency Let me guess your one of those lets build strictly through the draft guys?
  22. Patriots - Browner, Revis, Amendola, Blount Seahawks - Avril, Bennett, Harvin, Lynch Ravens - Boldin, Jones, McKinney, Pollard SB winning teams seem to spend on free agency.
  23. Damn I wanted Shorts, Nate Washington is still out there
