Does anyone have Tepper’s email, not Appaloosa
Toomers replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly. As much as I don’t care for social media, I’m sure some of this fanbase can get the word out about how unhappy they would be with Rhule being retained. The 9M Rhule would make for one more year would cause more damage than that in player and team development. There is no logical reason Tepper should even think about bringing Rhule back. -

Why do you need his e-mail? I read many times that it was a FACT that Tepper read this board frequently. In all seriousness, the fans are the only thing that can wake Tepper up. If Rhule isn’t fired on Monday, have a protest at the stadium. Get rid of those PSLs. Paint “Rhule returns and we riot” on the Panther’s ass. Take the money from seats and take out a full page complaint in the Observer. Whatever it takes. The last thing this team needs is for this young roster wasting another year in Rhule’s process and culture. Show Tepper what it will cost to keep him. -
I guess that ankle healed enough to stomp off the field and show his ass(once again) to the world.

There isn’t much difference in WRs and DBs size/speed wise. And they could cripple players(and did) without even the thought of a penalty. This is Joe Greene, with one arm, pulling an unconscious Swann off the field because he didn’t want the team to have to take a timeout with Swann knocked out. Compared to today where it’s a flag if you brush up on a WR. And it does exist. It’s just not an excuse for everything like you want it to be.

No. He should be happy he’s not in jail. He’s been an ass his entire life. As I plainly showed.and you chose to ignore or never knew to begin with. How many years of this pattern of behavior does it take to see this is the narcissistic behavior came long before CTE. But you go ahead and blame it something he might have. Besides he has a job still. Rapper. Just ask him.
-
I guess every WR from before the rule changes can do anything and blame it on CTE. I’ve seen Lynn Swann get hit worse that that 10-15 times a year. How is it he’s still doing quite well.
-
This entire post is garbage. And as a lifelong Steelers fan, he was plenty volatile before that hit. He was a head case in HS and college. It’s why he got kicked out of FIU among other incidents. so when did his CTE kick in? It’s not a blanket excuse for any football player to do the dumbest things imaginable. They told him to go in twice. He refused twice. Every player is told to leave at that point. Nothing looked wrong with his ankle as he stormed off throwing pads and clothes. All while releasing his new rap single, YESTERDAY!!! Just in the last couple years he’s attack delivery drivers, accused of assault on women, threw furniture off a balcony almost hitting children, committed a federal offense with fake Vax card, along with trashing PIT, OAK, and NE on his way out the door. He’s a sociopath and has been for a very long time.
-
There it is. You can’t walk off and just quit during a game. Not to mention, make a spectacle of yourself while doing it. He’s done. Here had more 2 nd chances than he ever should have. And he just spit in the face of the folks who gave him the last one. He released a rap song, YESTERDAY!!!! And his only comments have been about it, not what he did.

There were no two evils. Picking it up never made any financial sense. If he played to anything near a dog able level, he was getting a deal. One where the first year wouldn’t be any more than 19M. More than likely less in the first year of a deal. And thats ONLY if he is actually good. In the most likely scenario of him staying the same player he’s always been(like he has) you bet 19M for what? The very small chance he’s great and you wouldn’t said anything anyway. As was stated many times before they exercised the option, they are making a huge mistake with no upside.

Tepper embarrassed by Rhule. Rhule lost locker room.

This was in 2011. And the players were from 2004-07. I don’t think anyone cares anymore. A lot of players are about to get “deals” legally. -

HBO called over 200 former players and offered 5K to come on their show and say Auburn paid them. They found 4 that were desperate enough for money that they did. All this as the Cam investigation got started. Not a coincidence. The NCAA investigators were already living on campus and looked into it and found nothing. Carlos Rogers and Ronnie Brown were top 10 picks and shared an old Honda Accord with a busted windshield. Their reactions were “how did Stanley get money and we didn’t”? -

Yep. 5K from HBO sports to lie with junkie Ramsey on TV. -

You mean the June 14, 2020 version of Tre that had just got a new contract from Rhule and never had been around a Rhule practice because COVID wouldn’t allow, or Tre who got cut but still made 9.5M for one year because of Rhule? -
1) Strong 2) Corral 3)Pickett 4)Howell 5)Willis/Ridder

You would have to send HOU at least a 2nd round pick(maybe more) just to take him. Along with whatever it takes to get Watson.(3 1sts and ???) And they have already kicked both those guys guaranteed money down the road which is why CMC is already almost impossible to trade. Trading for Watson is about as foolish as keeping Rhule for another year.
-
Watson is set to make 35M next year. Won’t be any FA signings if they trade for him. They would have to restructure many guys just to fill out the roster with 1-2M players.
-
I’m lost. Why would anyone think you would be upset? Or is this just another cry for attention from him?
-
I thought you meant Jim Jones not Jordan. But the rest looks about right.

As a Steelers fan, I unfortunately have to say Taylor is a good HC.

If its going to be a rebuild situation, then keeping Rhule is the worst thing the team could do. Players aren’t stupid. How long are they going to play hard for a lame duck. Just tell the new HC that finding young players to build around is more important than whether you win 2 or 5 games. Get the cap right for once. Maybe trade a piece or two for picks. But most importantly, you start changing the culture now.
