I mean call it what you will but anyone who has played a sport, even at the HS level, can understand that a competitor would rather be playing than sitting out.

Blaming players for missing games due to any injury is mind-numbingly dumb. It’s not like these guys are choosing to get hurt. They are playing a contact sport that carries a significant risk of injury. The only injury risk most of this board has is carpal tunnel.

It’s time to start talking about Ryan Suzuki, the kid has battled injuries since he was drafted but he’s dominated during this prospect tournament.
-
LMAO this is gold.

For sure, tons of guys get missed and I’m also not ready to crown Nacua as some elite WR. A point was made yesterday that Nacua is playing the Cooper Kupp role better than Cooper Kupp. With that said, I think it could be possible that McVay deserves more credit than he’s being given when it comes to both Nacua and Kupp. McVay has a particular type of player that he likes when it comes to those underneath routes and it’s quite possible that if Nacua were in Carolina’s system that we wouldn’t be seeing what we are seeing out of him.

I’m not trying to grill you but as I mentioned before, I know all about this kid. There’s a reason he didn’t play much at Washington, he broke his foot and then got Covid. Washington was even upset that he decided to transfer. Then at BYU he had an ankle sprain and other minor injuries. As I said in my previous posts, injuries have always been the main concern with Nacua but the talent was always there. Over the course of his college career (at Washington and BYU) he had 19 TD’s and was averaging a TD about every 7 touches. I hate to be that guy but I saw him play live early in 2021 and followed him ever since. More scouts should have been in on this kid.
-
I went back and checked the stats to see how his career at BYU finished and he was was averaging a TD essentially every 7 touches. 73 touches - 10 TD’s Only played in 9 games though.

Starting to make some bad ones.
-
Hahahah well maybe a little bit.

Ah you’re right, I just trusted the broadcast was right. Apparently Collinsworth thinks all white people look alike.
-
The only fast player they have (Demario Douglas) got put in the dog house for a fumble.
-
Mac almost telegraphed that one, the safety was a second away from picking that off.
-
Demario Douglas did that in college all the time, guy is allergic to calling for fair catches.

From the TV angle it just looked like Slater was running on late, from the alternate views you can see it was intentional. Great play by the Patriots special teams Swiss Army knife.
-
That was an incredible block by Slater. It’ll be interesting to see how many teams try that technique.

I saw Kyrie Irving out of all people tweet that Owen and Smith need to act line grown ups lol.
-
He’s how I picture most of the posters here, he’s obviously a lot more intelligent though.

Is this some CTE poo?
-
I also don’t see an NFL future for him, kind of like McCall. But no doubting their talent as college QB’s.
-
He’d 100% be getting the reps, just not the volume. I’m not trying to say I knew Nacua was going to be a stud because I didn’t, but he was very good at BYU. I’m not a BYU fan but for other reasons I watched the majority of their games and when he was playing he always stood out. I said in an earlier post that on a particular BYU broadcast I was watching, the commentator stated that Nacua was averaging a TD about every five touches. When I heard that I was intrigued with the kid. The problem has always been his ability to stay on the field. In training camp he had already passed Atwell on the depth chart, he was the WR3 heading into the season for the Rams.
-
Well that’s pass interference but fug Sean Payton.
-
Injuries are the name of the game for him. I watched him a lot at BYU and there was a point in his career that he was averaging a TD every five touches. Problem is, he only had like 20 touches because he was always hurt. Nonetheless, he’s on all my fantasy teams.

I actually drafted both but when I saw Kupp get put on IR I picked up Van Jefferson and dropped Tutu, that was a mistake. We have a taxi squad in this league so I was just storing both for the future.

Drafting Puka in the 25th round of my dynasty draft is the smartest thing I’ve ever done and that includes getting a masters.

It’s funny because in hockey guys make it a point to try and keep their helmets on in a fight unless both parties mutually agree to take off their helmets. In football you can tell who the idiot is simply by whichever person is letting the other have free reign at his face.
