    As distasteful as the extension is, the team purchased a year of optionality for $25M. If the FO goes first round QB in 2027 draft, you still need a bridge QB for, say, $8-$10M. The real cost of optionality is then $15M. I don’t like it but I understand it. YMMV.

    There are still players with potential that will be cut at the end of preseason. I’m sure Dan will be scouring the waiver wire for ILb. It sucks that we’re not as high on the waiver wire priority as previous seasons but, maybe that’s an indication of progress in our roster rebuild.

    Beyond the 50, deep ball interception, same as a punt. Maybe better than a punt, if there’s no interception return. Not a bad strategy once a game.
