Why, yes, they are. Could they get him ready to start by year 2? Maybe. Year 3 more likely but, what do I know. Young and Stroud look much more ready to start this season. I think if you look at the FA moves, I think we are be set up to ‘win now’ or ‘win sooner, not later’; not in 3 years.

You’ll need a bigger wardrobe…

I was leaning Richardson when we were at 9 but, not at 1. I think on a longer time horizon and with the right coaching staff, he can be a really special player.

High character players with football intelligence

+100 for ‘agency’. Don’t see that used as often as it should be… -

Tell me you don't want another Robbie Anderson without telling me you don't want another Robbie Anderson... -
It's an unthankful job but, damn it, somebody has to do it...

Will respectfully disagree. ‘Reading’ a defense correctly in real time is pattern recognition, which is tightly linked to mathematical aptitude and overall intelligence. I have no idea if Luke ever took the Wonderlic or his score if he did but, I would bet you dinner at a high end steak house that Luke would measure and test in the upper decile for pattern recognition, math aptitude and general intelligence. In any event, this doesn’t contradict your comments on football ‘instincts’, which some might alternately call ‘situational awareness’. Great players have great ‘instincts’, no matter how that is defined. Cheers.

Of all the positions on the field, QB is the most cerebral. The ability to read (see and recognize) and process information quickly, in real time, is what every team is looking for. How is an intelligence test, imperfect though it may be, not useful for evaluating a QB? At the very least, it is an additional data point for consideration.

This is cringe worthy. Please, have some self respect.

Please do it. This is over the top.

I hear you. They don't have to extend the original offer. That would be the role of the agent to mediate the relationship and help Lamar get something respectable from the Ravens. The Ravens FO would be wise to throw Lamar something to show a modest amount of good will IF they even want him back at this point, which I am not sure that they do. Lamar may have burned the bridge beyond repair with his tweet today.
-
This is also how Lamar redeems the situation. You go and sign with a well-respected agent. The agent speaks now for Lamar and says, hey, Lamar realizes he made a mistake. He was surrounded by people that did not really have his long-term interests in mind. Lamar is appreciative of the Ravens patience and would like to return to the Ravens and lead them to a Super Bowl championship. But, does he have it in himself to admit he made a mistake and f'd up the situation? I'm not so sure...

Other NFL Fans are Still Dismissing the Panthers Offseason Moves?

I like your thinking. Extra pudding for you.

Let them talk. In 2-3 years we’ll be drinking their tears and toasting our own playoff success. -
For this upcoming season, I think Chark, Thielen, Hurst, TMJ and LS are ‘good enough’. I would spend some of the remaining cap on the defense, to acquire a quality ILB, NT or 5 tech. If we could get one of the these three that could be a quality starter or part of regular rotation, I’d be down with that. I guess I should add a CB to the above shopping list.

An Apple air tag is a nice gift for any fiancée as they head off to their bachelorette weekend in Cabo. Fits nicely on a key ring, too. Safety first.

If Horn or Jackson miss any appreciable playing time, we have… Henderson and Taylor? Anyone remember the Tampa game fourth quarter? I still have PTSD whenever I think of that game. We need another credible corner and this is a pretty strong draft for corners.

Corner, edge, ILB or swing tackle

You’re in luck. Available in many sizes and colors. Cheers!
