  1. I mean that's a given. It's all interlaced and they're all working together on this. Fit isn't making signings in isolation.
  2. This is IMO why the news about the 49ers, Pittsburgh, & NE have popped up from time to time. We're looking for a team to help facilitate this and take on Teddy.
  3. Between Rudolph, Henry, Jonnu, Eifert, Everett, & Cook, if we don't grab a TE this offseason, I think we have our answer about how they fit in Brady's offense.
  4. There is a fickle argument going on in here even more juvenile than the kid & Cam. I'm a Jew-Buddhist hybrid and my fave band is Fugazi so I'm pretty much the oldest soul ever. I'm like god but better. /s
  5. My best guess is we told Teddy he's being traded or released as a niceity so he can start prepping a move/etc. Same thing with Shaq & I do think Shaq is basically on the trade table w/HOU. And after letting this stew a bit more, Lynch seems a bit more savvy of a GM than to want Teddy Bridgewater. If I were the 49ers, would just roll with CJ Beathard until I found a young guy. And then have Nick Mullens as the backup. This may seem off the wall but I could see us needing to just release him (June 1 designation) and the team that could use him on the cheap would be Arizona as a backup to Kyler Murray. Kyler showed some fragility this past year and they had nothing behind him. And that's a bit of a dink and dunk friendly offense. That's my perfect Teddy fit. If we're trying to keep Burns, Brown & Chinn together, then we really have to find a team to facilitate and add a high level starter. I wish the Steelers weren't in such a sh*t cap situation because I can see them as a perfect facilitator and could use Bridgewater. They also have movable, valuable defensive vets and need to clear major space. Joe Haden, Big Ben are likely getting new homes. My big prediction non-Panthers is that Big Ben gets released and picked up by Chicago.
  6. I can see HOU not wanting Shaq or Teddy so we're trying to get something for them now to be part of the package. If we can't, then, they're cut so they're out either way hence them unfollowing the team.
  7. The only other team making cuts right now I'm seeing is Denver with Kyle Peko but he had a nothingburger contract. We seem to be the first team clearing the books/cutting the dead weight.
  8. My two buds I grew up with in QC have been texting today thinking the same exact thing.
  9. He did actually, we played him in like over a third of our games, more towards the end of the year. There was one where the announcers kept thinking he was Pride and saying he was having a bad game.
  10. You're right on Elder! Probably why he was coming on strong this past year, he was essentially playing for his career. I was really sour on him but he showed pretty well at times.
  11. I think Oliver has his work cut out for him. He was baaad but also just a 7th rounder right? Can see him not making the team if we sign some pieces.
  12. I think we can safely say our secondary carryovers will be Jackson, Pride, Elder (he surprised me), Burris, Chinn, & Franklin. Don't know if Robinson will make the team year 2 but you never know. A CB1 is clearly the need given our scheme. We've got enough of these S/CB types that can interplay between this 3-3-5, 4-3 base w/3-4 looks thing we do.
  13. I mean, he was pricey but we should have targeted a much better signing than the scrap heap. But what that tells me we didn't see a guy we wanted to commit long term money to in FA and weren't in position during the draft (I realllly wanted Kristian Fulton R2 but am muuuch happier w/ Chinn). It's circumstantial and CB & LB were the positions that just didn't present good upgrades after we found what we wanted during the draft.
  14. yes haha Also--I felt like this was quite expected and I think there's a tad oversight with how much Rhule & co. like Burris. Burris is a Rhule signing and the secondary got noticeably better when he came back from his mid-season injury. I feel like Burris & Chinn is a solid situation. CB1 is the real need.
  15. I was young so it's honestly hard to remember the actual game but it was the 93/94 season. The biggest point of nostalgia for me was the frozen lemonade and eastern style bbq they had at the arena.
  16. Charles Leno at LT And if Brady does want to use a TE, Jonnu Smith. LB is tough. I'd rather draft mid rounds than overpay an average guy in FA. There's not a lot of options there.
  17. There's one name that really stands out and that is Charles Leno. He's had a low key solid career in Chicago. Last year--Over 1,000 snaps at LT, 6 penalties, 5 sacks allowed.
  18. They are actually a pretty great family, Brian & Bill in particular, but yes, Chris is a hot head and Bill got hyperactive at times early in his career. Gotta say though--you just threw out a lot of things that are half truths. The cool thing as well is that Chris was okay with going as low on the totem pole in Jax to reframe his career. He didn't have a choice but let's be careful with throwing out what you're saying. These are people with experiences and things they've learned from. This is maybe TMI but Bill low key took his grandson to a large chunk of Panthers games and sat up in sect 552 in the late 2000s/early 2010s. Always super unassuming in a hoodie.
  19. Being the offseason, it's a prudent time to find good moments in the Panthers capsule. Here's Steve Smith taking care of Aquib Talib:
  20. It's going to be steep. It'd be hard to parse out how we get a promising new QB if we throw picks at Brown. Interesting nonetheless.
  21. Could be a good target. He's requesting a trade bc he believes he's an LT so the team that goes for him will be looking at him as an LT.
