S Fowler Coker in, Legette out as wr2
shaqattaq replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Coker hadn't been injured, this would have happened a while ago. Way to go Coker! -
Bo, I ain't doubting our math, I'm shaking my head at how seldom we've hit in 14 years! Especially if you consider 1 of those 3 went to poo in year 2.

Come on Mr. Brass Balls, make it happen!

At 37, with career earnings > $320M, I'd be putting on a suit and looking for an announcer gig, if it were me. Or just say fuggit and sail off into the sunset. BUT... It would be tempting to go the Andy Dalton route and hold a clip board for a few years. I'm sure it's hard to step away from something you've loved since you were 6 YO.

Sheesh, that's a tough schedule for our rookie QB.

If that's not a catch, I'll eat a bowl of cat turds!!! Fug Clete!

Agreed. Whichever WR makes the playoffs (I ASSUME you mean TMac vs Egbuka) gets the OROY most likely. Both players have been lights out all season. Tmac still edges him out so far in every category: yards = 924 - 910 YPG = 61.6 - 60.7 TDs = 7 - 6 catches = 65 - 59

The Case for(or Against) Drafting/Signing a TE
shaqattaq replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't disagree with you, but want to point out that Tremble's strong suit has always been blocking. Case and point: on Horn's 25 yard run, he lays down not 1 but 2 nice blocks...and is looking for #3! https://www.panthers.com/video/jimmy-horn-jr-s-25-yard-run-gives-panthers-red-zone-access-on-first-drive -
I was watching 1 of Smitty's videos on youtube and he was singing DB's praises. He says (and I agree) that on any other team he'd be a perennial pro-bowler. PB is a popularity contest and we're a small market team that most of the country never sees.

IIRC, Bryce was lobbying for him. After selling the farm to get BY, Dave was wiling to do whatever he could to save face. No a bad gamble on pick #32, it just didn't hit. There's still time for him to turn it around. And hopefully Dave is out of the decision making business and in the check writing business.

The only social media I want to see out of XL this offseason is….
shaqattaq replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Which is why you draft based on results instead of "potential". Coker lacks "40" speed and went to a small school, but all he did was catch passes! Set just about every WR record there was at Holy Cross and has become a verry important part of our team. XL, on the other hand, had 1 good year out of 5 at SC and is mediocre (at best) in the NFL so far. I'm not calling him a bust yet, but I don't have high hopes. Honestly, I'm not sure Tremayne doesn't pass him on the roster if both keep trending in their current directions. -
And then, in week 18, we can take Mayfield out of the game and whoop Bridgewater's @$$ for good measure! Let the former QB revenge train roll on!!
-
Good point! Our run game has not been as on fire with Icky out. Not sure if that is personnel or teams loading TF out of the box and forcing Bryce to win with his arm.
-
Damn skippy! I hope we win out...right through February!

I wore my old #28 jersey to watch our last game! I WILL be wearing it Sunday!

'nuff said Us and 32 other teams.

so yea... the um Saints.... how do we beat them this time?
shaqattaq replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope the poor guy has a full recovery, just not this week! Our big guys have been good at getter pressure lately, we just need them to finish with sacks. A rookie QB behind a PS RT is as good a formula as any to get that done. -

Like myself...that man sure does love him a fullback!
