  1. That's why I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt whenever possible. Fitterer too. Is BC RT, LT, guard? Not sure, but Rhule has a clear plan. Why did we bring in a bunch of often injured vets at CB, LT, LG, LB? Not sure, but Rhule has a clear plan. Sam Darnold?!?! Not sure, but Rhule has a clear plan.
  2. I think we're all mostly reacting to Nick Carboni's opinion rather than what Coach actually said. Rhule said a couple of big throws were dropped, which was documented in the tweets from both teams' media. 19 of 36 is 53%. Fix a couple of the drops and you're back in the 60% range that is wholly acceptable, if not ideal. Rhule also says that Sam has done a good job "in camp", not just today. This may just be another case of the media trying to create drama where there isn't any.
  3. Damn, hate that for him. he seemed to be a good mix of mean and smart.
  4. Nice! Every time I saw that #12 Sunday, I got so confused as to why DJ was the only starter playing. EVERY TIME!
  5. I am hesitant to buy a jersey of any player that I don't think is a long term guy. For example, I have Smitty, Olsen, Stew, Luke, and got CMC last year. Until he proves himself, which I REALLY hope he does, Sam is just a 2 year rental as far as I'm concerned. I don't want to be that asshole who blew $100 on a jersey for a guy that may end up being a footnote in the Panthers' history books. Let him take us to the playoffs the next 2 seasons, sign a long term deal, and THEN I'll get a jersey.
  6. How dare you question the integrity of IZquotes .com, lol.
  7. Naw, they just got together because they couldn't find a Terrace Marshall jersey.
  8. Looks like we can save $4M if we make him a post 6/1 cut, with $3.75M dead cap. We're only paying him $2.24M this year.
  9. I would assume that they thought/think that BC could become a starting LT or guard, and that was worth the gamble. Also, Moton's contract specifically has bonuses attached to his play at LT, so maybe this was the plan all along. They could just be trying to bring BC along slowly and not throw him to the wolves by starting him week 1 in a position he's never played.
  10. If BC looks as good the rest of preseason as he did Sunday, coaches may decide there's no need to rush Erving back.
  11. Yeah, the safety ran in untouched, but OP was referring to Hoskins popping the center back 4-5 feet with the initial hit.
  12. Any of you Gamecock fans know anything about Donnell Stanley? Decent sized C/G that TB just cut.
  13. I have DJ, Anderson, Marshall, David Moore, Shi, Zylstra; in that order. Bayless makes PS if he clears waivers. As does Saunders. Cannon becomes our WR7, RB4, ST ace, all around good guy.
  14. Smith WAS a cut. Also, I think Cannon is our WR7. I still have Chandler making the team as a 5th safety. He's having a strong preseason.
  15. Did you watch the clip? Who is Haskins? I think you have the wrong guy. Hoskins is the guy that finishes the sack, #71. Big ole DT. The light in the ass guy is the safety who I'm pretty sure was Franklin on that play although Chandler apparently had a very similar blitz as well.
  16. The Panthers placed Troy Pride Jr. on injured reserve Tuesday, the Panthers also released veteran fullback Rod Smith, waived/injured center Mike Panasiuk, and waived/injured linebacker Nate Hall.
  17. Erving is the starter. And Moton is the LT2, according to how they've practiced. Scott, in practice, has been RT2, but I have a feeling that changed after Sunday. I'll give Scott props for how he stepped up last year, but we may all be witnessing his rather low ceiling. I still doubt he gets cut based on this one shitty game, unless Rhule wants to make an example out of him for the whole DBO mentality he's pushing so hard.
  18. Meh, he kept his hand inside and held the jersey "between the tits". O-line gets away with that more often than not. It happens somewhere just about every snap.
