  1. Had to find a new target with Donte Jackson out...
  2. Patterson made those last two runs look easy, especially the score.
  3. Valid, but it looks like Russell Gage is taking his lunch money right now.
  4. Defense looks to be keying on wherever Cordarrelle Patterson goes. It makes some sense. Just have to watch out for misdirection.
  5. Ask me at game's end. I've seen us start fast and then fade way too many times to take it seriously just yet.
  6. Good first drive, but first drives can be deceiving. Gotta see if we can keep it up.
  7. Wonder if they're going to assign Gilmore to covering Patterson today instead of Pitts. It's a decision I could understand if so...
  8. I believe outside of our #1 fan of The Horsesh-t Method and a few others, most year would agree that Tepper is the biggest part of the problem.
  9. Given our situation, that reference comes off less like Robert Frost and more like Mr Freeze.
  10. That would have required Tepper having a clue. I think we've established that he doesn't.
  11. Odd news item of the day... Armstrong is Matt Rhule's agent. (no, it doesn't mean Rhule is going to the Bears...I wish it did)
  12. Erving and Elflein were both day one of free agency so it's not like prospects were dwindling. They signed the guys they signed, and they did so because they wanted to. Anything else is hypothetical.
  13. In the same vein, I don't fault Rhule for wanting full control anywhere near as much as I do David Tepper for giving it to him.
  14. You make some odd distinctions for the sake of arguing with people. Rhule putting too much importance on versatility isn't a separate issue from his inability to evaluate linemen, it's part of it. As to Rhule's fate, most of us expect him to be back. We just don't think he should be.
  15. I know it's not a popular opinion, but I don't think the defense is genuinely as good as what many have made it out to be. Yes there's talent, but I'm not convincing Phil Snow is the defensive guru he gets credit for being. The initial dominance was countered with some fairly simple adjustments (going max protect, for example) and I've yet to see a truly effective counterpunch deployed from our end. Heck, the last couple of games have served to make it look like we're just getting worse.
  16. That's kinda like having a doctor ask which symptom you want him to treat. The correct answer is "treat what's causing the symptoms". Take the line, for example. They were what they were because what Rhule cared about most was versatility, and that's what he got.
  17. Even better, there's a quarterback Rhule recruited in college. Kenny Pickett committed to Temple just before Rhule moved on to Baylor.
