  1. I don't feel real comfortable projecting Daley as a starter because of his issues staying healthy in full-time duty. Versatile backup seems like his best role.
  2. About the only two things I feel certain saying at this point are that Matt Paradis will be starting at center and Taylor Moton will be starting somewhere. Beyond that, as was said by Scott Fitterer a few days back, "fluid".
  3. That would make me think you're a lot more interested in winning next year and beyond than this season. (and that's a valid school of thought)
  4. That's a gamble. I'd add that while the team is always looking to win, I don't think this season is what you'd call their "target season" for winning big.
  5. (to be clear, this is more a question of what you think should happen than what will) Still a fair amount of camp left, but judging on what we know so far which of these two approaches would you prefer? - Trusting Taylor Moton in the left tackle spot while looking for the best possible current and future option on the right side among who we've got - Keeping Moton where you know he's good, doing the best we can on the left with what we've got for this year and looking to find the left tackle of the future next offseason Keep in mind that the option you choose will have consequences for not just this year, but future Seasons as well.
  6. Barring a breakout year, I think the most time he's got left is this season. (and I do think it's possible he doesn't even make it that far)
  7. Burris might not be great, but I'm not sure I like the idea of rolling with what's behind him. Won't claim to have looked, but from what I understand his contract isn't all that expensive.
  8. The team does put a certain amount of value on physical talent, and Thomas at least has that. If he can't get his mental game up to standard though...
  9. Fair enough. You could have also gone for the cartoon guy, I suppose.
  10. I look at it kind of like a cat playing with a ball of yarn, but it's valid that the novelty does wear off. Intelligent discussion is much more fun, but obviously you're not getting anything like that from a loser like that one.
  11. And if your life is pathetic enough that you need and desire this kind of attention, we feel sorry for you.
  12. "Hey, look at how dumb this moron is" doesn't count as amusement. Bemusement perhaps, as in wondering if the guy in question is just pathetically trolling for attention or genuinely this ignorant. (neither answer is a good one)
  13. Neither at you nor with you, honestly. You have to have some intelligence to be funny. You're not.
  14. Learning how to not draw penalties is gonna be his biggest challenge in transitioning to the NFL.
  15. Is it just me or was there not some illegal contact going on in that clip?
  16. You've read this whole thread and still don't know? That's pretty dim
  17. It isn't new, special, unique or revolutionary at all. Plenty of old school coaches had full control. Hell, some didn't even have a GM to work with. Jimmy Johnson with the Cowboys is arguably the most successful example, but you also had guys like Bill Parcells, Mike Shanahan and even Butch Davis (granted, that was probably a mistake). If you go back further to the days of guys like Vince Lombardi, Don Shula and Paul Brown, it was even more common. The most notable recent example is probably Pete Carroll who's had full control since she took the Seahawks job, but before him Mike Holmgren had the same thing. And there are others as well, like that guy up in Massachusetts whose name escapes me at the moment So yeah, we're not doing anything "non-traditional" whatsoever. This model is as old as the league itself.
  18. It sounds like the team is going to be experiencing "The Wrath of Coach" today Been 35 years or so since I last saw that movie, but it certainly wasn't something easily forgotten.
  19. I generally respond by signifying that you're number one
