  1. There was an article a while back about how the "kick the can" approach was becoming a more prominent thing. Basically, people saw the Saints getting away with it and said "hey, we can do that too".
  2. Pretty sure Fitterer and Wilks are gonna be collaborative...basically like a normal head coach-GM works rather than the Rhule "full power" bullsh-t.
  3. "Things David Tepper probably shouldn't have said" is potentially a long list.
  4. Pretty much all the "connected" folks say it's not happening. We've also got an interim coach involved in a lawsuit related to tanking, so anything that might be seen as undermining him could be... problematic.
  5. We haven't got anybody on staff who came from the Jets that I can think of. You might be thinking of Terry Bradway. He's not on staff here. He and Fitterer are friends. I do find myself wondering if this affects Pat Stewart at all. Stewart came here prior to Fitterer and Morgan because he and Rhule had worked together before. I don't think it'll mean anything, but hey...
  6. I mean, asking a coach who's part of a lawsuit related to a coach being told to tank if he'll agree to tank...well, seems like a bad idea
  7. Pretty much. I have a positive opinion of him, but it's fair to point out that we don't really know yet how good he'll be. And given where we are on the calendar, it's gonna be hard to judge much of anything till the offseason.
  8. Spent a lot of time criticizing myself to throw people off, but you didn't fall for it.
  9. Ya got me. I've been posting on Panthers fan forums since before I bought the team because I knew this day would come.
  10. Could be worse. Imagine if my whole argument was based on guilt by association. Now that would be weak sauce.
  11. What's his best move but I can't name his draft picks? Yeah, sure The roster that's been built here by Fitterer and Morgan, even with Rhule's influence hanging over him, looks decent overall except for the quarterback spot. The OL definitely looks improved, and that after only a single offseason. Hell, throw in that we've actually gotten returns for guys like Greg Little, Dennis Daley and Robbie Anderson. Meanwhile, the crux of your argument is basically "he worked for Rhule". So did a lot of guys, James Campen for example. If you want to talk about weak arguments, that's one of the worst.
  12. You'd be correct. Morgan's experience is as a pro personnel guy. Fitterer has dabbled in it but it's not his thing. Hence why I think they make a good combo.
  13. As mentioned, as much effort as it deserved You have a really tough time with pretty much anyone who disagrees with you, hence why you post a lot of text walls which don't say much.
  14. I've said plenty (just like above) but generally I get a response of "fug fitt", so...
  15. Our offensive line, for one. Hell, the roster really isn't bad at all, except for a rather obvious hole at signal caller. Also, for the record, Fitterer and Morgan go back way further than Morgan and Dorsey do. Dorsey's in no position to demand anything.
  16. There are possibilities. That's not my preferred option though. (doesn't sound like it's Tepper's either)
  17. More effort than it was worth, honestly... But coming from someone whose go to argument is "fug fitt" I'd say I'm doing okay
  18. Neither does prior experience or even success. Winning in the NFL is tough to do.
  19. Wouldn't bet on it now. Not after the info from Jonathan Jones earlier today.
  20. I'm terribly sorry you won't get what you wanted. Perhaps you should complain to someone.
