  1. Or infamous, depending on who you ask
  2. When she was initially asked about it on the Around the NFL podcast, she stated those were his exact words. I don't believe she lied, and as much as she's tried to spin things and walk back her comments, she's never actually denied that was what he said. Yeah, she's likely screwed up her relationship with Baker and others, but personally I think the reaction to it has been overblown. Hell, most of the people in this thread cheered him for it.
  3. The plan is for Darnold to be the backup once he's healed. I do think Eason is a better quarterback than Walker though. Gonna hate it if, when Darnold comes back, we dump Eason in favor of PJ.
  4. One of the things I always tell people is that when it comes to Panthers leadership is that I look at Scott Fitterer and Dan Morgan as a team. Nearly all of Fitterer's experience is in college scouting. He'll tell ya that he and Seahawks pro personnel guy Trent Kirchner did some "cross training" with each other's jobs back in Seattle, but college and The Draft were always his primary focus. Dan Morgan cut his teeth more on the pro personnel side of things, and I believe his arrival is one of the reasons why this year's free agency has drawn higher early grades than last year's did. So while it seems inevitable that Morgan will eventually get his own GM gig, I personally hope it takes a while because I'd like to see what Fitterer and Morgan can do as a team (preferably without Rhule).
  5. Fourth round pick of the Colts back in 2020... Looked good against us in preseason last year... Great size (6'6)... I like this pickup. Eason was actually a guy I kinda hoped we'd take a look at last season.
  6. Only a few people on here were actually bothered by it. That said, I'm gonna call bullsh-t on Baker here. I don't doubt for a second that he said it, but he probably figured it wouldn't go anywhere. The denial is most likely damage control, and possibly requested by the team.
  7. One other thing: Did a quick count after I saw a tweet earlier today (forget from who, might have been Ellis) regarding colleges represented on our team. Counting one on the practice squad, we have six players from Temple on the roster. There are also two from Baylor, with one again being on the practice squad. The closest colleges behind that? LSU and Washington, both of whom have three players each on the Panthers squad. Mississippi also has three, with one being on IR (Matt Corral). Make of that what you will...
  8. That's what makes it tough. There are definitely moves that have Rhule's stamp on them, but there's no way to know what happened behind the scenes with every transaction.
  9. The Bills runningback that a few people mentioned is still a Bills runningback...
  10. How long till they start charging admission for training camp?
  11. Darnold's going on IR for the first four weeks. After that, he'll be elevated back to the roster and PJ will go to the Practice Squad.
  12. Honestly, by now most of the cut quarterbacks who looked interesting in preseason are already signed to their team's PS or someone else's. Don't know who's still out there that would be intriguing, but I get it.
  13. Several people on Twitter have said they attended before and it was free (Roaring Riot included). And honestly, this does sound like kind of a stupid thing to charge admission for.
  14. Guessing that spot is being saved for PJ. The wisdom of that choice is, of course, debatable
  15. Unfortunately, the attached clip only shows him walking back after the catch
