I know we had at least one offseason free agent period in the mid 2000s where we signed almost nobody.

I said their bowl game was the best game of his that I saw. Spanish saw more games of his than I did. Wilson is damn near universally projected to be the second quarterback off the board and likely the number two pick overall. The only question is whether it's the Jets making the pick or someone else. And yes, acting like that Coastal Carolina game is the sum total of his analysis is a silly take.

Their bowl game (I forget which bowl it was). He was damn near surgical in that one. Professional evaluators have him as the second best quarterback in the draft, and a few even say the first. So "pretending he doesn't have injury concerns", hell yes, he'd be worth it. Unfortunately, you can't draft on pretend.

We've only got two corners who are taller. Oliver is 6'0 and new signee Rashaan Melvin is 6'2. Our current number one corner (Jackson) is only 5'10.

I'm not on the Wilson train but acting like that coastal Carolina game shows anything is both silly and lazy analysis. Wilson played pretty well that game but a lot of his teammates didn't. His receivers were dropping balls left and right.

Erving might be penciled in at left tackle right now but I don't know if I see him staying there.

I'm not as high on Wilson as others due to durability concerns, but I agree.

The Steelers have reportedly terminated Nelson's contract. Didn't see that coming.

I'll grant it's possible they could be testing the waters to see what kind of offers they get.

I'd imagine that's your only chance of guaranteeing Wilson if he's your guy. Not sure this news can be taken as definitive though.

I don't think it's been confirmed that they're not there. It just hasn't been confirmed that they are there.

Question for long timers... Granted, it's mostly no names and minor signings, but when was the last time you remember the Panthers being this active in free agency (if you do)? The year that comes to mind for me is Gettleman's first offseason, but even then I'm not sure we signed this many players.

We didn't have a chance at Fuller. Nobody did except the Broncos. He wanted to go back to playing for Vic Fangio, so as soon as he was released that's where he headed.

Did Haynes or Miller show up on special teams much? Seems like I vaguely remember Haynes having a couple of ST tackles.

Somebody's getting a little antsy... He's been discussed as a possibility here.
