  1. If he goes to Miami, pretty good chance Tua is part of the trade package.
  2. The first thing that always comes to mind for me about Johnson is how he held on to Rex Ryan because he liked his bravado. That apparently somehow made up for the fact that they were losing.
  3. The city? No. The team? Shanahan's system and a Super Bowl ready roster. Both Miami and San Fran have old friends of Texans GM Nick Caserio in high places.
  4. Or San Francisco, given that they can appeal to both Watson and the Texans.
  5. To be fair, we don't really know if they'll remain dysfunctional now that Gase is gone.
  6. ...which is exactly the kind of thing you think about when you just lost a championship game. "Hey guys, imagine if you'd have taken somebody that we could have used this year." It's honestly a pretty valid point.
  7. I get that. As to the Jets, it was reported that he wanted the Texans to go after Robert Saleh but they didn't. Yeah, they've been a dumpster fire, but they've got a new head coach and a GM that's only been there a year plus the spotlight of being in New York. And of course, the star player attitude is frequently "sure they're bad, but they don't have me".
  8. Colts are a divisional opponent so that'd be a pretty tough sell to the Texans.
  9. Jonathan Jones said it would probably take picks plus McCaffrey plus Brian Burns.
  10. San Francisco. Watson in Shanahan's system could be something to watch. And while I know what fans think about them, I wouldn't discount the Jets.
  11. I get that, and it's not like Rivera and his staff were ever known for winning the second half adjustment game. That said, I remember being concerned about his second half performances those first few years. He got past it though, so that was good.
  12. Watson is reportedly a big fan of Robert Saleh. Miami and San Francisco both have former colleagues of Nick Caserio (Brian Flores and Adam Peters) in high places. Plus each has a young quarterback they can offer in return. For Watson, San Francisco has the additional appeal of Kyle Shanahan's system.
  13. Jay Cutler trade was two firsts and two seconds plus something else, if I remember correctly. That's an example of another quarterback trade, but not one that worked out.
  14. There'll be enough teams interested that they just might get it. Don't think it'll be from us though.
  15. My sister's a big fan because of his work with autism. Years back, he sent her an autographed football to raffle off for a fundraiser. Kudos for all that but yeah, he's still a dick.
  16. Maybe if we're talking year three or four. His first couple of years, I remember him coming out and giving jaw dropping performances in the first half then fading in the second.
  17. I remember reading about a player who idolized Marino growing up. Then he got to the NFL, got to play against Marino, saw how he acted on the field and got over it.
  18. When he was picked at number 26, plenty of people questioned whether he was even worth that. I just don't see a year of practicing and sitting on the bench as adding enough value to make him worth a pick 18 spots higher.
  19. I don't really think I'd use the #8 pick on Jordan Love even if he were still in college.
  20. I remember, but the last time I checked the draft order we had pick 40.
  21. I don't actually think he's trying to spin anything. He's basically just pointing out that we're not very good, and haven't been for a while longer than just this past year.
  22. Same. Fourth quarter comeback means you were losing after the first three. It's exciting to watch and all but I'd rather see us be consistent for an entire 60 minutes.
