You think Matt Rhule could have developed Lawrence?
-
That's Will McClay. He's someone I'd certainly love to have as part of our organization, but that's extremely unlikely.
-
He's no doubt got the physical characteristics. Haven't seen enough to confirm the mental side yet.
-
This is the part that's not likely to happen. And unfortunately, nothing changes until it does.
-
Self-awareness is not exactly a strong point on this team. We were never really as good as they believed we were last season under Wilks.
-
The biggest thing that gets me is people automatically just saying "this guy sucks, let's get somebody else" to everything that goes wrong. That's the lottery ticket mentality, and teams that employ it perpetually suck. You've got to be able to see what's really happening on a deeper level. Otherwise, you just make the same mistakes over and over again.

I think that was the right call

We use it on the majority of our pass plays, which is typical WCO. If we're going to continue doing it this way, we need to use more tight ends and backs blocking. Unfortunately, given the fact that we don't have enough people getting open, it's kind of a catch-22.

Woods can argue that he was going for the ball on that but his arm position doesn't support it.
-
That's what makes it tough to evaluate him. He's certainly had struggles. As a rookie adjusting to the NFL, he's going to have those. But the fact that he has such a bad situation around him just makes everything so much worse.
-
I'm a fan of Reich, but he's disappointed me a lot this year. The biggest problem is is attempt to force a scheme on personnel that don't fit, but I'm not happy with some of the depth chart decisions either. All that said though, Florio is right. As long as Tepper is running things the way he is now, it's not going to matter.
-
Thought he was talking about Ekwonu.
-
One that doesn't use zone blocking. In his own blocking scheme, Ekwonu should be playing guard while a smaller, more athletic lineman plays tackle.
-
For who?
-
In this scheme, yeah.
-
You're not debating me. You're debating NFL history. I'm just citing them.
-
Nice play be Chark. Hadn't said that much this season.
-
I'm not citing my experience. I'm citing what's happened multiple times in league history. That's the difference between our arguments.
-
Because what you're suggesting doesn't reflect the reality I've had this situation has happened multiple times. It only reflects what you would do.
-
The person you're quoting is a troll, and not a particularly smart one.
-
Troy Hill has been pretty good this year.
-
Yeah, it ain't that simple And if you've followed the league for decades, how do you not know how many times this sort of story has played out?
-
Fitterer's first two drafts we're under Rhule and the players from them were affected by a coaching change. This latest one is too new to be evaluated. That's why I say it's too soon.

Sure, if you just want anybody who will take the job. If you actually want somebody good, you have to be able to present a good work environment. We don't.
