Worse than Elflein? I think I'd have to see that to believe it.

WR Competition-How many do we Keep? Who gets Cut?
Mr. Scot replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
Kirkwood is a guy who actually seems like he'd be worth keeping except that something always happens to him. -
That's...kinda one sided

For the record, Preseason 2 is now what Preseason 3 used to be. It's the game that involves the most actual game planning, starters playing etc. This is the one most people pay more attention to. I'm definitely going to be watching closely. I particularly don't want to see our defense looking bad against an offense that's being called by Matt Patricia

Ironically (or unironically) because of you-know-who...

"Dog yaps at heels desperately seeking attention"

Not so sure of that.

Makes sense That said, the complaints media and others have made about the Panthers being unfriendly still resonate.

I don't know that I'd view what Belichick said as disrespect. He rarely ever gives out any sort of opinion, positive or negative, on much of anyone. If I were to guess his true opinion on Matt Rhule, I'd go back to a line from an episode of Criminal Minds. When an international terrorist is asked "Do you consider (other criminal) an enemy?" he responds "I don't consider him at all."

Joseph used to be a guy I hoped we'd pick up. He came into the league with a fair amount of hype but just never quite lived up to it. Good, but not really great or dominant.

You is correct and speaks English real good

Fair enough... The most obsessively secretive team in the NFL is live streaming practice... But not us. We might give away something important.

Luke & Greg as assistant coaches for the Patriots.
Mr. Scot replied to Tbe's topic in Carolina Panthers
Eeehhh, for something like this I think most folks just roll their eyes. When it's something like "Panthers sign Newton" and it turns out to be Phil Newton from Podunk State or "McCaffrey injured" and "haha gotcha, it's Luke McCaffrey" or some such, that pisses people off. Basically, you can be funny but don't be a dumbsh-t. -
(insert Matt Rhule pic here)

Yeah, that...really doesn't make any sense at all. What people hate is seeing their favorite sports team be bad. And over the past two seasons, that's exactly what we've all seen. You can be hopeful for this season if you prefer, but whether you want to admit it or not, there is plenty of reason to doubt that things are going to get any better under our current leadership. And no, you don't have to have any kind of self-loathing personality disorder to see it that way. I know it's a popular sports talk defense mechanism to frame things like that, but frankly it's pretty lazy.

Seattle having a great season with or without Walker would shock the hell out of me. Beyond that? Yeah...no

Damn

What do want to see more of in preseason week 2?
Mr. Scot replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
A starting O-Line that doesn't include Pat Elflein or Michael Jordan -
Also this (from around 1:25 into the clip) It feels like pretty much everybody understands this "competition" is silly, continuing it even more so...

Meanwhile...

This sounds like a remake of The Lion King written, directed by and starring Tommy Wiseau. "I did not kill Mufasa! I did noooottt...Oh hi, Mark"
-
Rivera was likeable to the nth degree. Still is...

This weeks practice tweets...going to New England
Mr. Scot replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The hell is that from? -
They probably think we just need to understand how the process is 1000% working.

I've said before that David Tepper is aware of how people see him. Looks like Matt Rhule is too.
