  1. I know my interest level in this franchise is at an absolute all time low. Thinking about watching another year of this clown show is disheartening.
  2. An old friend of ours is looking for work... We do have an opening at that position, and Baker is certainly qualified. He's also entertaining if nothing else
  3. I have nothing against Joe Burrow. Well, maybe one thing... He's probably a big reason why we thought Joe Brady was going to be the next great offensive coordinator.
  4. Yeah, it does. Ours was quoted as saying "we want to go into the pockets of an underqualified college coach"
  5. Can we confirm that Rhule is actually able to identify "top tier talent" when it comes to the quarterback position?
  6. Lotta people think he'll take Luke Getsy with him as his OC. Getsy or not though, as had been discussed previously, Hackett has the connections to build an absolute kick ass staff.
  7. Mike Klis (one of the best sources for Broncos info) confirms... Also, regarding the Jags...
  8. I agree with that, though there's also the theory that games are won not always by the better team, but more frequently by the team that makes me fewest mistakes. There are arguments to be made for the validity of that idea.
  9. Could be. That guy had a weird Cam fetish too. Who we thought it was? As to Newton, this is from Darin Gantt's latest "Ask the Old Guy" mailbag (link) So my question is about Cam Newton as depth. Am I right? No one is going to give him starter money? And that he'd rather get good backup money here than elsewhere? And that if Darnold holds onto most QB snaps, Cam's foot seems well enough that he still has the physical tools to learn other positions? If Taysom Hill has contributed at FB, TE, LB, couldn't Cam do at least as well in surprise or emergency Swiss Army duty? Would he or the coaches be interested in giving it a serious look? It's an interesting theory. The problem is how to put it into practice. I think Dean's right that there probably won't be a huge demand for Newton as a starter, with the way his year in New England went, and his passing here in 2021 (other than the Washington game). And he's already said he'd be willing to be a backup somewhere, as long as there's winning involved. Can that be here? That's to be determined. I'm starting to think that late-stage Cam Newton is a luxury item, a player you add on when everything else is functional, and he brings a new element. They may not be there right now.
  10. I agree with this, but the reality is we've seen no indication this far that Rhule's power is going to diminish this season. Until we hear otherwise, final say on roster decisions still belongs to him.
  11. Not with a team from this division it won't...
  12. Agreed but they wouldn't have the choice. And nobody from this draft class has enough clout to pull a power move like Elway or Eli did. He may be picked in the first, but if so I hope it isn't by us.
  13. I think that might be Rhule's own feelings moreso than feelings about his staff. Remember John Fox didn't believe in drafting and developing quarterbacks. And heaven knows Rhule and Fox have other similarities.
  14. It's one reason I could see us drafting someone like Pickett or Corral. No veteran QB is gonna want to be part of this sh-t show.
  15. Possible, but I'm not sure I'd credit David Tepper with being that smart.
  16. Multiple sources say Baalke is a big part of the problem. I'm guessing Rhule would have the same effect here.
  17. There are interview windows for those guys. Much as we all hate it, I genuinely think he's determined to keep Rhule for at least this season.
  18. Could be a negotiating ploy. Leftwich's agent might be asking for more money or years than the Jags are willing to offer. Telling him they're gonna interview someone else might be to try and get him to compromise.
  19. My personal favorite candidate hasn't been hired...yet, but he's gotten second interviews from two teams.
  20. I wouldn't draft Willis higher than the third or fourth round, and then only as a developmental prospect.
