  1. You'd be paying him a lot of money for 2 years minimum where the team has no chance of being competitive.
  2. Good ol Kelvin was completely emasculated in that exchange
  3. Well there it is. Does he seem like a dude who's going to fight until years 4 and 5 when maybe we're competitive? Or does he seem like a dude who'll be "hurt" when it actually matters?
  4. Totally fair. Guess I was thinking about the best currently like Bosa and Crosby at 26, Garrett at 28. Parsons 24. Watt 29.
  5. What seems to be lost on most is that, IF everything breaks right, we have a chance to be competitive in 3 years. There is no point in any big contracts for guys that will be past their prime in 2026.
  6. Well, Canales made it clear that's what he'll be told to do. Plant his feet and let it rip. If he can't do it we'll have 1 in 2025 and he's out.
  7. I'll take the Burns trade. We're not signing or trading for any big name WRs.
  8. This is the answer for every splash free agent thread.
  9. Nah clearly the 49ers have no idea what they're doing. Lol.
  10. Top 15 when he plays. Strong 8 games to start the reason and we move him before the deadline. It all begins in 25.
  11. Did Jeudy stop sucking and I missed it?
  12. True. Also, Morgan could throw a dart at a board and have better drafts than Fitterer.
  13. I'm going to pour one out for the dawgs that couldn't be here (because we have blown the draft and free agency for what feels like a hundred years).
  14. His success or failure will be because of his convictions. He's not a "yes man." IMO he's more likely to kick Dave's ass than kiss it.
  15. We're 3 seasons away from considering a signing like Diggs. This will be true for all the big name free agent threads to come.
  16. Senseless, endless debate. Stroud was the choice. No debate there. Ship sailed. Bryce has to get bigger, more aggressive, more of a "dawg" in the next 6 months. If not, he's gone. We move on in 2025.
  17. Yeah something about these dudes that really embrace how great they are in their own minds - I think Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams enjoy similar levels of non success.
  18. That doesn't really add up. He was incredibly critical of the current roster, the attitude, character, everything. Sounds like he got the job because he wasn't on board with past personnel decisions, and Dave sees now that Dan was right.
  19. Might be as simple as the "open door" DC referenced. That says something about the past years
  20. More speculation and I didn't count but Morgan described the type of football players he's looking for a dozen times or so. That description sounded a lot more like Stroud than Young. He might be where he is because Dave knows Dan was right.
  21. Remains to be seen but there were plenty of opportunities to mention Burns as an example if they planned on giving him the mega contract he's looking for. I'd guess he's gone.
  22. Not sure about Burns specifically, but he was as clear as he could be that the roster isn't remotely close to good enough. Not just talent, but character. Pretty scathing really. Good.
