I think the difference is that The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam were just big personalities with big time talent (The Golden Calf of Bristol just lacked any consistency, leading to most of us hating him because it felt like he pulled big plays out of his ass). Sanders is a good talent who is completely full of himself and the ego feels unearned. You should WANT to change the bad culture of the losing franchise you expect to go to as a top pick...but that's a thing you keep to yourself or articulate well enough that it doesn't come off as "we're doing poo my way, if you don't like that, don't draft me". You don't create an entire room touting yourself as legendary when you did absolutely nothing legendary at the collegiate level. Nobody is going to be fondly remembering Shadeur Sanders the college QB. Johnny Football is there, Cam is there, Vince Young is there, RGIII is there, The Golden Calf of Bristol is there. Sanders needs humility and to pry himself away from his father. His father is going to tank his career before it is even started. Sanders may bounce around the league as a backup for a few years, he'll play in select games and look like a backup but he'll have that one game where he pops off and that game will be used to say "see?! He's great!" and then he'll get the start and never live up to that game again.

Bros, let's get something straight. Kooch is playing fine. Real rough first period, but that was a team failure. We had like, what, 11 turnovers that period? Struggled on the dot? Allowed some pretty clean looks at net from good angles? Kooch is young. Hasek, Vasilevsky, Lundquist. All had early critics and struggles. Each are considered all time greats. Not to say Kochetkov definitely will blossom into that, but Freddie has spoiled this fan base.

Markstrom is so fuging locked in, it's gross -
How about Chatty though?!

No but you're not playing to win the round 1 championship. It's hard to let one goalie run the whole post season if you're not blanking series. This is now a 5 game series minimum and he just played into two OTs while facing a ton of pressure. You rest your goalie so he doesn't burn the hell out. If we don't rest Freddie and lose, we're crushing his confidence, wearing him out and THEN playing koochie even further from his last start.
-
Freddie has been an animal, probably wanted to keep him hot and then rest Freddie in game 4.
-
Great third period aside, we need to rise to the occasion on the road. Next game should be a goalie switch for both so, God help us if Koochie is rusty. I did say we'd split the NJ games. Just can't let them even the series on us. That is recipe for disaster.

Just avoid stupid turnovers and open space on the pp. It's there

Bet money it's a labrum. Very common LB injury. If he needs surgery, I'm guessing he tried to let it heal on its own and it didn't bounce back like he wanted. Shouldn't be a long term issue, especially using NFL surgeons on the team's dime

Give me Jalon Walker. Dude is a dawg. Very Micah Parsons-esque
-
Pat McAfee's draft coverage is literally second to none. I just learned so fuging much about Will Campbell lol
-
Freddie showing why he is one of, if not the best playoff goalie currently active. Dude was outstanding after that first one. Kept us ahead in the third when he could have easily given a couple up as defense started breaking down low. Realistically, we're not sweeping this clean, so split these Jersey trips and bring it home so the boys can be home for a couple days at least without flying.

Never a doubt

I don't think you understand what all these numbers mean, my guy. This far more tells the story of Morrow-Walker being awful defensively. Morrow needs to not be paired with Walker ever again. Lol. As well as Rosie and the gang being our absolute worst like while being on the ice 2nd most as a line. Expected goals are just goals scored over average. Koochie wasn't locked in and I am not arguing he was, but this game ABSOLUTELY is not on Koochie alone or even in large part. I think if there wasn't such a defensive drop-off at key moments, this is a 4-2 game at worst. Need to get healthy. That is our biggest issue at the moment.

I mean he's in great fuging company stat wise. He gave up a healthy chunk of his goals in a bad stretch of the season for us as a team as well. He's played great -

Koochie is literally a top 7 goalie last I checked in every stat measuring goalie impact. -

While I love your enthusiasm...I'm gonna curb it. We gotta finish the season strong. We can still win the metro, my focus is there and I believe everybody else should follow suit. Playoff depression comes from all of nothing mentality. So let's temper that and win the metro and a playoff series once that is settled lol -
You miss all the passes you don't attempt or something
-
Why do we overthink 2-on-0?! Just fuging skate it in, two passes max. ALWAYS BLOCKER SIDE ON IT. WHYYYYY!?!?!?!?
-
Everybody gets one. One thing I notice in our PK is we are waaaay too willing to give up opposite circle if the puck gets high. Too aggressive for my liking, it's gonna cost us eventually if we take more penalties
-
He is. He'll sharpen up. Reminds me of Rosie a bit. Think he'll be fun to watch as he grows into it.
-
I love Blake's energy but goddamn that puck handoff in the corner was fugin... something.

This team figured it out it seems. Arguably playing better hockey than any team in the league in the last couple of weeks. Putting up big goals, sniping goalies they should snipe and having netfront presence that is actually making impact. God I love this team when they're on.
-
Eh. I don't buy the team cancer bit. He was friends with guys on this team before he came here. I just don't think the fit was good and it messed up flow. He couldn't do what was required here nor did he want to try to. Not his style of hockey. Mikko will be good in Dallas. And we're better without him + we got Stanky now

This is a much bigger game than I think some here realize. We're taking it to a strong Tampa team. And capitalizing on strong scoring chances. This is good.
