No one with any sense believes in Sam Darnold, including the Panthers. The playcalling told that story all game long. Glad he didn't screw it up against the worst team we will face all season. Especially one that every Panthers fan should hate with a passion.

We are about as likely to finish in the top 5 of the draft as we are to back into the playoffs.

The most important thing is actually NFL level ability to read the field and the ability to digest new schemes and offenses. The NFL arm can put you into an elite class but not without that "NFL brain" to go with it.

Lots of factors. Depends on the FO power, the HC, OC, QB we drafted, QB roster, etc. I just don't see any way that Richardson could possibly help us in the short term. That doesn't seem like a 1st round type of move considering where we will likely be drafting.

He is a guy that makes sense if you have a abive average to elite QB on your roster and can take a flier on him in the 2nd to 4th rounds. A developmental guy. He is likely to be an unmitigated disaster as a first round pick on a team like ours. The fans will be clamoring for him as soon as he is drafted and if he develops at all, it's going to take some time. It would not work out here.
