How can you confirm this based on a very limited sample? This sounds similar to TMJ and Mingo takes about this far into their careers.

It sucks a lot but we need to evaluate the younger guys and see what we have. If they end up being nothing, we need to pivot again at WR in the offseason.
-
P-Diddy did it in less.

If he comes at the right price, why not keep him around while the rest of the team is being built? Make this a good place for a rookie QB to even be able to develop at all. Or make it an attractive option for a FA QB.

Yeah, I wouldn't get my hopes up on Brooks for the first half of the season. If he can make it back by the second half of 2024, that will work.

Your Udpated Record Predictions with Dalton at QB?
kungfoodude replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would say we move from 2-3 games won to 4-6. In Oct. and early Nov. we have a chance to string together some wins but not a lot of opportunities after that. -
I don't expect excellence, I expect competence. With competence, I can buy into a future for us. I can see that there is a chance.

I suspect Dalton will get dinged up eventually and Bryce will play again. I don't expect the results for Bryce to improve much. He needs a lot of time on the pine getting his head straight.

If things continue to go fairly well(there will not be many repeats of today), we should try and keep Dalton. Obviously that will have a cost associated with it.

At this point in time, who feels like we lost this trade?
kungfoodude replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean, I was a Bryce stan so I can't say much. But, I was clearly wrong. I do think the Panthers ate a big factor in his failure but we didn't make him be a limited ceiling guy. That was all him. -
Almost all news of all varieties has moved to hot takes and disinformation. But, in this case, it's we the people that are 100% at fault. Instead of shunning this crap, people tuned in and ratings/revenue rose. They figured out the more upset people got, the more they watched. I am lucky enough that I saw through this crap early on and never consumed this type of horseshit.

I laughed so hard reading this thread. Thank you for bumping this. -
I mean, I don't think they are necessarily wrong. Perhaps his career arc is substantially different if he was riding the pine for a couple of seasons behind a guy like Dalton or another successful starting QB. Given what we saw last season, it doesn't look like the decision to start him was left to any of our head coaches. I think it's a stretch to say he might have been an elite guy but maybe his career arc is more like Colt McCoy rather than Josh Rosen.

Another post-mortem of Bryce in Charlotte
kungfoodude replied to BrisbanePanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
You know he hasn't played a full schedule since 2017, right? -
Agreed. His problems go well beyond his height. His lack of elite attributes is a much bigger issue than the height.

Bryce is doing what he needs to be doing. Sitting and watching.

Another post-mortem of Bryce in Charlotte
kungfoodude replied to BrisbanePanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think he doesn't understand. He is just shell shocked and has no confidence anymore. The problem is that not all young QB's are able to recover from that. TBQH, I would be very surprised if he does. -

Yes but that wasn't the rap on him coming in. If anything, he seemed very confident and sure of his abilities. Clearly that ended up not being the case.
