  1. He seems like a decent enough #2. It's been an incredibly odd career arc.
  2. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46063756/sources-vikings-add-carson-wentz-trade-sam-howell-eagles Man, what is the deal with Howell? Is he a nutcase or something? This is his 4th team and he is going into his 4th year in the NFL. I don't understand.
  3. I am at the point where I don't get angry about the Panthers anymore. Mildly annoyed and most amused. Tepper ain't worth getting angry over.
  4. He can't take Dalton's spot. Dalton was a Pro Bowl QB, Perkins will never be more than a 3rd string/PS QB. This is the disconnect I am talking about. IDK what is wrong with our fans.
  5. We have always treated the QB room like this. I mean literally forever.
  6. It's not that wild. Only one kicker in each conference makes it.
  7. We don't need a 3rd QB, TBH. Bryce is either gonna be bad or fine and Dalton is a top tier #2(will win you a couple perhaps). If we aren't shooting for the moon on a mid-to late round draft pick, the PS QB is fuging very irrelevant.
  8. You guys are fuging losing your minds with this PS QB love. Perkins will never be able to run this offense as effectively as Bryce nor Dalton. He is a Jack Plummer level player. Jake Delhomme really broke people's brains in thia fanbase.
  9. We are going to be bad this season, I don't think we are excaping that. With that in mind, priority #1 is figuring out if Bryce is "The Guy." Priority #2 probably doing the same with Ikey. So, dumping the most proven WR we have isn't gonna help #1, without any question. It's possible this young WR corps pans out and pushes AT down the chart but if so, the total loss was a mid to late round 4th. Oh well.
  10. Yeah, I think a lot of our fans are getting waaaaay too high on this WR corps. Until proven otherwise, AT is genuinely the best WR on this team by a fairly significant margin. We don't have to trade him and it doesn't help our roster in 2025 to do so. So the 4th round pick isn't very valuable. If this WAS a deep and proven WR corps, you jump all over that 4th in a heartbeat.
  11. I don't think it's overvaluing. He isn't a 4th rounder value either. It's just that we don't have to trade him and the return(a 4th) is never going to factor into a future player here. A 3rd might. A 2nd should. The difference is that he is actually a real contributor here and also our best returning WR. That might be difficult to replace for 2025.
  12. I don't know if that is actually true. I am guessing those are not part of the equation but perhaps more meaningful reps for guys like XL and Coker are.
  13. Well he is likely in the last season or two of his career. Obtaining a 3rd round pick(or higher) that could be used for a young two deep player would be wise in the long term. I would bristle if it was a 4th or lower just because you are likely talking about a non-contributor in the long term versus a value guy in the short term. We do have to keep in mind that AT is a very old, valuable player on a bad team. He isn't going to continue to be effective by the time this team gets good.
  14. I see, this is a hypothetical. Yeah, I mean I do agree with that. Why not ask high? We don't need to trade him.
  15. AT has been very good for us, he may well be this season. The idea of him being worth a 3rd round pick in trade value is lightspeed insane.
  16. Nah. Just wanted a temp check on the Huddle patrons after a hopeful offseason and tough preseason.
  17. Interesting that this is almost 50/50 0-5 and 6-10.
  18. That's completely insane in the context of what this franchise is.
  19. Notice that most of those wunderkind HC's have actively avoided him.
  20. I mean, he has been nothing but impatient with attempts at splash moves. Players, GM's, coaches. He wants desperately to be seen as a genius.
