  1. I don't have a problem with Pacioretty. He was sensational for that little period of time he was here.
  2. I don't think this is a blow up everything event. We were missing some extremely key pieces and like it or not, we still don't have an elite goalie. Bobrovsky has been the difference, without a question. Our margins are smaller against FL and he is playing elite, which he has been capable of in his career.
  3. Uh....bruh.....I would kill for that 1 SB after watching two losses. Speak for yourself.
  4. I don't think he makes a lot of sense for us financially.
  5. TBH, I would rather they just nix the kickoff altogether if they are gonna go that route. Which, given are historic struggles at KR and PR, maybe that isn't a bad thing for us.
  6. There aren't too many athletes that could span multiple generations. I believe he is one that likely could have.
  7. It can for sure. If we have an elite QB, a lot of those problems are fixed.
  8. I am a little skeptical of the group overall. High potential but also decent probability that it just doesn't work out for one or more of them. But, I am gonna trust this coaching staff until they show me any reason not to. It's been a long time since we had a WR corps that anyone was threatened by.
  9. I think that waxed and waned. Some periods they definitely dominated us on the 5x5 but I think our peak performance in 5x5 was better than theirs. We just needed them to go in and that didn't happen. And, Freddie played pretty well but one of those goals was just flat out an easy one. He can't make those mistakes. That goes for this series or the next(hopefully). Every round the intensity ramps up and the margin for error gets smaller.
  10. FL might be the toughest remaining opponent. I said that prior.
  11. Next game is a flat out must win. Odd thing to say this early but either team who lost that game was gonna be in a very deep hole.
  12. I will go with our pass rushing group(DE's/Edge's).
  13. Yeah these are not even remotely comparable. A better comparison would be the NHL or NBA and they don't have anything like this.
  14. It's literally his calling card. I don't even understand why the mods get mad at him sometimes. His shtick is so clearly defined at this point.
  15. Then why did you dispute the "luxury" quote if it isn't about money? What about that post didn't make the money aspect extremely clear? Are you having a completely different argument with someone else?
  16. That would be fine but he played under two head coaches here with similar results. This stat pretty much holds up for most elite NFL RB's, BTW. This isn't new information. There are ample articles about spending money on RB's and the overall results. Some going back more than a decade. This story has already been written before CMC ever stepped on an NFL field as a player. It's not a critical position in the modern NFL. It's definitely not a position that most can afford to spend top 5 money on. Hence why the "luxury" post was just plain correct.
  17. Well the difference between him playing and not playing had pretty limited impact on W/L during his entire Panthers career. I have posted that stat multiple times. That's kind of the point about elite RB's, though. They rarely have a remarkable W/L impact on any modern NFL franchise. Denying that is kind of silly.
  18. Eh....he definitely reacted immediately like he was pretty upset. Not sure if you remember that in the immediate aftermath of the trade. I'd say that and the recent comment make it pretty obvious he wasn't happy about it. It is what it is.
  19. He is obviously butthurt, which he has a right to be. We will see how it goes in the long term. Steve Smith and DeAngelo Williams also left here with some pretty hard feelings. We eventually got SS back in the fold but not Williams. Ball is in CMC's court.
  20. I think more of it had to do with the team being built around a guy that ended up being broken beyond repair(Cam). CMC had very little to do with Panthers success. Just look at his W-L record in games played versus games not played. The success of the franchise was always going to revolve around Cam(or any of the successive QB's) and once he was done, so were we.
