  1. Rhule was somewhat publicly critical of our offense, if you recall. I think if Tepper demands heads, Brady will be an obvious choice.
  2. Having a bunch of NFL experience is exactly what this staff needs. I do question if they are going to struggle to get those kind of guys here because of Rhule's lack of NFL experience.
  3. I am curious to see how this all plays out. Rhule staying but being forced to make staff changes will have a lot of intrigue. I am curious to see if he starts turning on people when his job might be under threat. I don't think he has ever held a job long enough to even be on a hot seat.
  4. Great breakdown. Thanks for this @Mr. Scot
  5. I think the team is starting to lay down. We will see in two weeks. If they get smashed after a bye week, it's over.
  6. There is literally no argument against the CMC deal being a bad idea. None. What is worse is that all the hand wringing about CMC holding out seems comical now. We literally had no reason to sign that extension when we did. Had we not.....we probably don't give him that contract at all.
  7. If Tepper buys anything Rhule is selling, I have no idea how he became a hedge fund billionaire.
  8. I think the staff is seeing the benefit in having a real veteran QB with Cam being back. We'll sign Kurt Warner to a 3 year contract.
  9. Notice how scarce the Sunshine Squad got when the obvious started playing out? Funny thing is, for all the shade that gets thrown around about "negativity" the "realists" largely stick around good, bad or Matt Rhule. You don't go hide in a corner when the chips are down.
  10. Well, it's really the only worse scenario than losing out so I have to assume it will happen for that reason alone.
  11. I preached endlessly about that "versatility" poo being a really bad idea. This was SO fuging predicatable. This is the most maddening part about the Matt Rhule era, when they make dumb moves, they make dumb moves that even a casual NFL fan wouldn't make.
  12. I am scared we see some Bill O'Brien level trading to save Rhule's ass. I don't like having a one stop shop for decision making when they are on the hot seat.
  13. Ole Miss doesn't make any sense at all. If he leaves here(willingly) it would be for a much better job than that. Also, keep in mind that not every big time college might be enamored with a guy known for building from nothing and then bouncing after 3 years. One thing that Matt Rhule has never technically shown is the ability to sustain success.
  14. The cupboard wasn't that bare, we made it bare. It is what it is. Nothing we can do about it now.
  15. I don't think we have to try to tank, unfortunately. Much like last year, I suspect we will win a game as we have ascended draft positions and then make the fan even more mad.
  16. Most competent NFL teams never go full rebuild. You tweak your roster every offseason but never tear it down to the bare bones and try to start from scratch. It blew my mind when we did that.
  17. 1. Dom Capers - 0.594 2. John Fox - 0.563 3. George Seifert - 0.469 4. Ron Rivera - 0.406 5. Matt Rhule - 0.357
  18. Kept looking at the lights for a secret message indicating Rhule was gonna get fired.
  19. Hard to say. As always, I am a big believer in the NFL being a self motivating league. If you have "it" then you will work to be the best and success will come at some point. If you never see Trubisky ascend above a journeyman backup player then he was probably what his detractors said about him at the time, a one year wonder that got overdrafted in a weak QB draft.
