REPORT: Robby Anderson available for trade
joemac replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He does need some work, however Willis had the most total touchdowns in FBS over the last 2 seasons. Showing he definitely knows how to move the ball and get his team in the end zone. I’m not super big on the guy, but I would not be mad if we got him. Let Sam start the season off, hell maybe even play all season, and get Malik ready to go. Probably not gonna happen though. Personally I think we end up with Mayfield. Which I would be kinda excited about. -
REPORT: Robby Anderson available for trade

Zylstra has been hugely impressive when given a chance. All he does is get open and make plays. I think there’s a WR3 spot for him. -
Man, this is the wrong draft to not have a couple high 2nd rounders. I'd almost be tempted to make a stupid trade to move up to the top of the 2nd and grab Nakobe Dean and/or Malik Willis or Corral. MLB and QB are our 2 biggest holes now. Our only glaring holes really. All of a sudden they have built a very nice roster. If we can figure out the QB spot I really think we could make some noise this year.

He’s not under contract right now…

Title says it all. What do you guys think? Personally I’m thinking Baker Mayfield is our starting QB. Either him, or Cam or…shudder…Sam again.
-
Most all of CMCs big gains in his whole career are between the tackles. It’s a delicate dance for him.
-
This. I think Pat is the starting C, BB is LG and Brady is the swing guy. Plus now all of a sudden we’ve got tons of depth with Cam and Daley. We could actually have one of the best lines in the league after years and years of having the worst.

Jeremiah's Final Mock: Panthers could think of trading UP?!

Under no circumstances should they even be thinking about trading our first next year. -
Jeremiah's Final Mock: Panthers could think of trading UP?!

Man, if they fug this up and try to get cute im going to pissed. Just stay at 6 and take the best LT on the board. Either Neal or Icky will likely be there. And if not them, Cross will be there. Either of those 3 will be a cornerstone of our line for the next decade. Dont get cute. Just take the LT. -
Reaction to Carolina Panthers 1st round pick
joemac replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I won't be upset at all because I don't really care anymore. I have become extremely apathetic to this iteration of the Panthers. Hopefully something happens to change that soon. -
So was I. While we would be deadly with a guy like Deebo, theres just not enough cash to go around and these WR salaries are getting downright insane.
-
I know people don't want to hear it but Sam can actually look like a competent NFL QB with good protection and a healthy CMC to dump the ball off to 20 times a game. Not a coincidence that we were winning games and Sam was playing very well when we had a healthy CMC.

Sir the Lizard People have already conquered mankind. They just prefer to do it discreetly, from the shadows.

Robby, Sam, and pick number 6 for Deebo, Jimmy G and a 2nd.

LMFAO. "One of the leagues elite Down Bad teams". Sheesh, thats for damn sure. We truly are Down Bad. I tells ya, if it wasn't for bad luck, we'd have no luck at all. We get no respect. "Take my QB......please!"

I think the moral of the story is that most journalists these days in general are just terrible. Probably always been that way and I just never paid much attention.
-
Out of the list presented, outside of Young and Stroud, I think Anthony Richardson from Florida is the most intriguing. He could be the second coming of Cam Newton.
-
I'd be willing to give up something like 2 firsts, a future 2nd or 3rd and somebody like Robby Anderson. And of course they would also have to take Darnold in this hypothetical deal.
-
No….did you miss the whole “if he puts up 4000 yards and 30 TDs” part? And the answer is hell yes. What more do you want out of a QB than that?

I like your style. I don’t get all the hate for Baker. He would immediately be the 3rd best QB we’ve ever had, with potential to be much better than that. He had a lot of success until last year. And he had a serious injury. With our revamped line, a healthy CMC and our WRs we could put up serious numbers on offense. Some people around here are never happy no matter what happens. They just hate Rhule and that makes them hate everything. We could trade for Mahomes and some people would bitch about the draft picks we gave up.
