Anthony Richardson declares for the draft
Rags replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Richardson is a first round player though, and while I don't think he'll be top 10, I don't think he makes it too far out of the 20s, definitely not the Titans if they make it to the playoffs. Arm strength, size, speed, upside. He's shown the ability to through with touch, throw on a rope, thrown on the move. I'm a floor guy more than ceiling guy, but that's not the mindset of the NFL GM or Front Office. -

I don't really know how you got that but sure. Saying he's got similar running abilities to Cam doesn't mean I'm saying he's the same player is my point. -

So let's say Cam is an S tier runner yeah? And Justin Fields is an A tier runner. Saying "Cam Tier honestly" means they are in the same tier of runners. I have never once called them the same player. It just means their running has the same effect on the field when going against opposing defenses, and their ability to out athlete whoever their matched up against while running constantly shines through. I did not say he was Cam, I said "Cam tier". A point you only just now finally concede by saying I compared his running ability to Cam. When I replied to your post -- something sensational and provocative -- it wasn't with the thought of Cam in mind, it was how stupid it was to compare him to Tasom Hill on a post about that players Physical Ability. Keep that in mind, remember, my original post was about Anthony Richardson's physical ability, not his production. Then you reply with...Stats? What the fug do stats have to do with this? That post wasn't about his stats and you're right i didn't read the stats -- they didn't help your argument at all. No one gives or gave a fug about Taysom Hill coming out of college besides Sean Peyton. People care and are studying Anthony Richardson. Obviously Richardson's stats don't matter to much, otherwise Malik Willis woulda been a first rounder. My point after that was just that -- that I never said Richardson was Cam like you kept implying. "I assumed you were since watching them play it's EXTREMELY obvious he isn't anywhere near Cam Newton." So assuming you couldn't have meant "Because he didn't put up as many rushing yards as Cam he can't be as good of a runner as Cam is" because that'd be really dumb, I'm thinking you meant "By mentioning Cam in this post he's saying he's Cam Newton." which wasn't my point or what I said. Lamar is a Cam tier runner. Vick was a Cam tier runner. All 4 players in that tier have different strengths and running styles that worked well and was/is a nightmart to defend against. Saying a player is a really good runner is not saying he's Cam. -

Yeah that's honestly the thing. That's going to be the hangup. Either you like the prospect and what he could bring because his film is limited and I'm sure for as many wow moments as he's produced, he's probably got just as many infurating ones on Film. It's probably gonna end up a more extreme Josh Allen situation. Personally I'm more interested in K.J. Jefferson but I can't deny the intrigue of Richardson. -

Richardson's archtype isn't anything new, he's a passer with limitations but with the legs. Cam did it. Wilson and Kapernick lived by it. Fields, Allen, Lamar and Hurts are making a living by doing it. The NFLs defenses weakpoint seem to be this, there's no reason to run from it especially being a team who's strength lies in the run game. Richardson as a runner is big, fast, and strong. His type of running will work in the NFL -- if you liked Malik Wilson or Trey Lance he's a much better runner than both of them -- so again, you have to ask yourself where do you think he'll be as a passer in a few years? Do you think his passing and running ability helps your team in the more immediate future. Though truthfully as fans we'll never really know until we see him on the field in an NFL uniform. Richardson can be the next big thing, or he can bust out and be a Jordan Love or a Pat White. But to act like the talent is there especially with the tends of the league is asinine. The arm talent is very apparent, and he's shown the ability to use his arm accurately. He's the Prototype QB. -

How bout' you read my post again yeah? Slowly this time, maybe you'll find "Richardson is Cam". I know what i typed and it wasn't that. Like i said, comparing a talent is not saying they are the same player. -
No it's probably mostly the A.J. Brown thing, that was a real fug up he's a dynamic player and they aren't paying anyone or will be paying anyone that's worth A.J. Brown, but also their drafts have mostly sucked and their contracts have been terrible even outside of Tannehill. Vrabel's probably safe, it's the roster that's gonna get hit and makes sense to bring in a new GM too.

When did I say he was Cam? Comparing a skill isn't saying this player is that player. -

Ah I see you are basing them solely off of numbers. Makes sense why you'd make such a terrible take then. -

I mean, same, but it's not as simple as "They just don't exist." NFL's trending towards mobile guys who can throw well enough. What you're hoping for with Richardson is you're drafting a guy who can take the next step when NFL defenses adjust, and honestly you're not gonna find that answer pre-draft. -

That's a complete insult to Richardson's arm strength and accuracy he does has. What a shitty take. -

With Richardson you have to understand you're drafting a runner you hope can develop more as a passer. He misses the easy stuff sometimes, but that's because he trusts himself to get the easy stuff if he's wrong deep. I haven't really gauged his deep accuracy but if it's there I'll probably end up liking him a lot. He's an electric runner, better than Fields, honestly Cam tier if I'm being real. He's a player that if he hits, you gotta devote the rest of your assets into building around what he does well, not what you think he can be. -
Report: Teams are doing homework on Jim Harbaugh
Rags replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Aren't you the one who preaches constantly abt taking risks with QBs? Harbaugh's a weird fugin' dude and I have no doubt he's not at the very least an eccentric but he's exactly the type of coach with this roster that could give us the edge. If there's a fallout, there's a fallout. -

lmao that's not what happened tho it was Baalke's and York's ego that ousted Jim, not his "abrasiveness". Politics, not coaching lost the gig. -
> OP hints that cheaters trigger him on past expriences > "haha triggered much" > laugh track plays

Rly the long and short of it. If he thinks taking a public walk of shame will appease his wife, who the fug are we?
-
Someone with a Millennial wife. - I'm a millennial I just think social media is silly.
-
Y'all get clickbaited way too much lol.
-
Man like, he's not a good coach, but it's football and I'm just a spectator so I never actually dislike a coach as a person. Fox and Ron are still cool ppl in my book. And Rhule was cool too for the most part despite being shittier than both. Saying this poo right here though? Get fuged Sixhead.

Remember that time Derrick Brown got on twitter....

No, he got mad at a reporter for saying it was homophobic, then changing the article title after Jackson called him out on it. -

Brian Burns has never had a double digit sack season
Rags replied to Growl's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm saying that it's easier to build with good players on your roster than rather if they're not there. -
Nah not really. You gotta take a risk for a QB and if our coaching staff liked Wilsion enough at the time, sure go for it. I wouldn't have been happy, Wilson's personality and the fact that he only showed improv deep shoots made me like him less than Lance honestly, but as a person who believes it's really, REALLY fugin' hard to win paying QBs big big money, and y'gotta do what y'gotta do to get young, cheap talent at the position. Big reason I was so vocal abt NOT wanting to trade for Watsonat the end of 2020, we'd be giving up a lot AND strapping ourselves cap wise. Your second point is kinda true - We paid Teddy a lot and we traded for Sam and traded up for Corral. We even were close to Stafford last year til his wife spoke up. But my above point still stands and while the jury is still out on Corral, he's a 3rd round pick who fell for a reason (I will admit that part of that reason is MOST teams have their QB situation more figured out than ours), Sam was a loooooooooong shot and Teddy was a stop gap at most.

And not a lick of that poo rly mattered until the got Mike McDaniels and Tyreek Hill. And they then STILL had to trade for a pass rusher after drafting one the year before.
