I only see Carolina trading back a couple of spots, either swapping with denver or dallas moving up. or both. Carolina wants another 2nd round pick or even two more. The 2nd round is loaded with Oline help, if there is a draft to fix 1 side of the ball it's this one. Carolina could very easily sure up the offense in the 2nd/3rd rounds. And if they want to hang on to Joe Brady, their gonna have to give him what he needs. Doubling down on OT in the 2nd. I see them moving down twice in the 1st and coming out with a CB, an extra 2nd this year + 3rd this year and a 2nd next year.

So whose your late round Gem 6th/7th rounds. I like Max Richardson, Has a ton of potential and already a born leader at Boston College.

Who are the Panther's 5 potential Trade partners?
chknwing replied to Panthers Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
He said 5 partners in different parts of the draft -
am I the only one that has a sense of relief that for the 1st time in probably a decade that the panthers will go into a draft with somewhat intelligent people drafting. I'm not worried or scared they will screw it up.

POV: You are Joe Brady. What do you want in the draft?
chknwing replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
best way to help a young qb is to give them a decent check down target. Pitts would give Brady something he doesnt have. the 2nd/3rd is filled with OT/OG to choose from. -

Kristen Balboni introduces Sam Darnold to southern foods.

anyone know what that background music is? -
Are You Really Against Fields or Lance if they fall to #8...
chknwing replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
We can only take a quarterback if we're going to trade Sam darnold. We have to pick a direction and move forward. -
Trading back in the first twice makes sense for cap reasons. What we pay rookies in the 2nd compared to signing free agents would be considerably less.

No Pitts? Slater gone? Pene off the board?
chknwing replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
were gonna get a great pick at #10 when we call Denver and tell them we are picking Trey Lance at #8, and then Dallas and tell them we are taking Pitts at #9. -
Let's not forget that these renovations are purely temporary until they build a new stadium. As much as I like the renovations I think it's a colossal waste of money

I think Jacksonville is going to draft Zach Wilson. Since Lawrence just had surgery

Teddy will likely get cut if we can’t trade him.
chknwing replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think a team like Denver will trade for Bridgewater eventually. Carolina and Denver swap 1st round picks. Carolina gets a 4th round pick and pays half of Teddys salary. -
Drafting a qb at 8 will derail any hope you had in restoring Darnold. He just left a franchise that gave up on him a a few years, drafting a qb at 8 will show Carolina has no faith and giving up on him in a few weeks before he has a chance to prove himself. He will go through the offseason with zero confidence and thats not what you want in a franchise qb.

not only that, it will force another team to trade in front of the panthers to get a qb and push a player down
