  1. The Panthers put themselves in a situation where they can’t build through the draft. At least not the next draft because they gave away a high 2nd on Sam and a high 3rd on a CB that apparently does not have his head on straight. The result is they are going to have to build via free agency. This means they will be forced to over pay. I can’t believe this team is actually worse than last year. If I am Tepper, I shut this thing down now and start over with experienced NFL coaches. Rhule = Chip Kelly
  2. He kept Sam in because PJ is worse which is hard to believe.
  3. I don’t think we want the current regime to pick the next QB. They choose TB and Sam to be the starters with no competition, and PJ to be the backup. At the very least, they should have kept TB and had Sam compete for the starting position this year. I don’t think this is hindsight…/I think most most questioned these moves prior to the season
  4. Maybe they will throw in Lawrence too …if we ask nicely.
  5. Can we trade CJ Henderson back to the Jags and get our 3rd rounder and Norwell back?
  6. Yeah Seifert fell apart quickly here and then retired. I guess he just had enough. But at least he had an outstanding resume with a Super Bowl. This coaching crew doesn’t even really have great college results. Tepper badly mishandled this as well.
  7. I personally preferred Navarro as the new owner. The QB situation went from bad to even worse when Rhule started to now. He appears to be on his way to being a very short term NFL coach.
  8. So why did Sam look semi-adequate in the first 3 games but then turned into the Jets Sam the past 4-games? What changed other than CMC being out and that can’t be all of it. Very similar to Teddy last year. The first 4-5 games he actually looked pretty good but as the season progressed he significantly regressed. Makes me wonder if it is the Panthers offense…ie Brady. Is the offense too predictable? Clearly Sam nor Teddy are/were not the QB answer but i don’t think it is all on them.
  9. Good summary. Bottom line is Rhule is not getting it done. He is one of the highest paid NFL coaches and his staff and players selected by his staff are not producing. Tepper does not strike me as a nice and patient man.
  10. Randy Fasani….LOL- we are talking about the worst QB during a game. Shows how bad the game is.
  11. Teddy was not the answer either but I do think the offense was better with him than Sam
  12. I actually think one of the biggest mistakes this coaching staff made this year was not bringing in any competition for Sam. At the very least they should’ve tried to get another young quarterback in to push Sam…for example like Trubisky. PJ is not that guy. Competition is good especially when you don’t have a proven starter.
  13. Makes me wonder why they gave a 3rd plus Arnold to get Henderson. Losing that 3rd is big especially since not having a 2nd.
  14. Assuming Miller was better because Moton was back at RT. There is a familiarity with these two. Don’t mess with the right side and just focus on center and LG. Irving is who he is and probably the best option at LT. Kind of bothersome that BC could not beat out Jordan at LG this week.
  15. Henning also has two Superbowl rings to his name. The guy had a lot of success with Washington before being with the Panthers. He created a very solid smash mouth offense with big play ability mixed in.
  16. Actually- one could argue special teams lost the game. That blocked punt was the beginning of the end. Even with all of the offensive woes the Panthers still win without the blocked punt….
  17. Henning is my vote. Power running game with Stephen Davis, along with Jake, 89, 87, Mangum, Hoover and a big strong nasty oline. His offense established the run and then that set up Jake taking shots down the field. Smash mouth football at its best.
  18. I would also add improved special teams. That blocked punt was a big reason for the Panthers loss today. Huge mistake….
  19. Was wondering and can’t remember- did Moton start his rookie year? IIRC he did not start and also did not play a lot either. And he was 2nd round pick. BC is a 3rd rounder - I would not get too excited about him…yet. Let’s hope he is a part of the solution in the future. Brown- he is big and strong but was a 6th rounder for a reason. Let’s hope he can be a part of the solution in the future as well. But for now- I think the oline “is what it is”…which is not very good.
  20. If the staff thought Brown and Christensen were better than what is playing now and I am pretty sure they would be playing. The better question is- why aren’t they better and or ready? They don’t have much invested in Brown but Christensen was a 3rd ROUND pick. Hopefully he will be good one day.
  21. If I’m not mistaken, Tampa Bay drafted a kicker in a second or third round a few years ago and it turned out to be a bust
  22. Yes! Slye is better than what we have now.
