Most good teams are draft receivers every year or 2. Can't sit back and ignore talent. Gotta build the te, and that doesn't happen by skipping over talent.

I'll take Arnold over whomever may fall to us at 8. This team.still needs to more talent. LT that will start day 1, and immediately gives us the best oline we've had in years. Ya can't continue to draft QBs without.improving the team around them. Otherwise they will all fail.

As long as we don't have a uniform, agreed upon, definitive definition of a bust, there is really no point for this conversation/debate. He wasn't considered a bust by his peers, coaches, or experts. But because you and other "fans" wish to label h a bust, then he is. Great conversational starter.

I never get the perspective of not liking the money spent to aquire a player. Y'all seem to think that it's easy to get quality players for dirt cheap. It just doesn't work that way. Also, while you may not like the guys they chose of what was available, they were the guys that Rhule and fett wanted. Also every player is at risk of injuries.

I stopped reading after the first statement that we're desperate for a QB. That just isn't true. The team is doing it's due diligence to improve at every position it can, before the draft. That's the way it's supposed to be done.

I'll admit to not seeing Darnold's entire career. What I have seen impresses me. His pocket presence. His arm strength. His accuracy. His decisions under duress. I'm an old guy now, and have been a football fan my whole life. I'm know what makes a good QB and doesn't. Darnold has the talent, and skillet. I've seen enough of him to be excited about watching our offense. A lot to be excited about. We didn't give up so much for him, should the negative Nancy's be right for a change, that the team can move on easily.

Completely agree. His arm strength is legit.
