  1. The fact that you worry so much about who is a Cam fan versus a panthers fan without understanding that there’s a huge amount of overlap says a lot about where you stand. I’m sorry Kyle Allen didn’t work out for you.
  2. No that’s bull123 under his new username
  3. We didn’t miss either of those guys. We chose not to draft them. Two different issues. And fug Mac Ankle twisting Jones 4 life. it would be a better look if you could just admit you never liked Cam and what he represents if you’re now seriously arguing that we would win too many games with him as a valid reason to sit through more Walker/Barkley/Darnold football. You wouldn’t have argued that ridiculous position after the draft as a reason not to sign him.
  4. Mid day hosts on 610 say this was a tepper call
  5. All it takes is one tweaked ankle or knee and he would be. Keep reaching though.
  6. Newsflash: We weren’t winning poo with Darnold or PJ. At least Cam gives us a chance. If he fails we are no worse off for it. What’s the downside?
  7. I don’t know, how would Matt Barkley learn it?
  8. It wasn’t just the last drive, the whole 4th quarter he was thriving…on the road with a crazy amount of noise and against a good pass rush. I have ZERO faith that Darnold could do the same thing in that circumstance with much more experience.
  9. Most bears fans were taking their frustration out on the coaching staff rather than fields. For some reason the coaches seemed to insist that he needed to stay in the pocket with a bad o line (particularly in the TB and Cleveland games) and never scramble. Both last week and this weeks game showed that when they let him run when needed that it completely changes the strategy on the defense. But keep in mind this is the same board that had plenty of people in Cam’s rookie year that said “the pretty stats are nice but he doesn’t just win games like The Golden Calf of Bristol”. I don’t doubt we would hear that with fields too.
  10. As someone who’s had PSLs the better part of the last two decades and been to nearly every home game excluding last year, the only thing that’s different between this year and 2001 and 2010 is that many of the seats that were empty previously are filled by opposing fans. There’s also another issue that people aren’t talking about and that’s last year when the overwhelming majority of PSL holders took the year off of tailgating/going to games because of the pandemic. How many people realized that they didn’t miss going through the routine to go to bad football games to spend a significant amount of discretionary income?
  11. Hope Myles Garrett tears him a new one this week.
  12. Just stop. You clearly weren’t around in 2001 or 2010 if you’re making this statement.
  13. Oh gosh drafting Rosen hurt the cardinals so bad for years, how did they recover?? I would argue that desperation is what caused us to give up multiple picks and pick up a 15 million option on Darnold, and giving Teddy an above average market deal only to dump him for next to nothing a year later.
  14. Fair point. I will root for Myles Garrett to treat him like he did Mason Rudolph this week
  15. You know damn well that if our guys retaliate they get a flag/thrown out of the game/suspended because of how the league protects QBs (especially ones like Mac). Easy to say that’s worth it now with how the game turned out but at the time it was 0-0 and the only chance we had at scoring was field position.
  16. The saints in week 2 I guess? But we won’t be beating the cardinals, our already shaky o line is a mess, and their defense is underrated.
  17. Such a double standard…Mac is “tough” for twisting a dudes ankle after getting mad he got stripped, but we call any other position dirty for doing anything close to that. fug Mac Jones, I will forever root for him to fail.
  18. This thread needs to be moved to the Hornets forum because it has no relevance to the Panthers.
  19. I know things arent going well this year but i hate when people post hyperbole about the whole league with only panthers colored glasses. He got to go against Adam Gase twice a year on two different teams in his division. That alone makes this a ridiculous argument.
  20. The term I keep thinking of is demoralizing. I’m usually a pretty optimistic person when it comes to this team. The football itself is the worst it’s been since the 2010 Clausen year. But at least the expectations for that team were low and we knew that changes would be coming right after the season ended. I didn’t expect us to be good last year when we signed Teddy to play foxball, but I saw enough to think that we’d be getting better once we upgraded that position. I wasn’t at all sold that Darnold would be that guy, but thought that our coaching staff would be able to capitalize on his strengths and coach out some of his weaknesses. Swing and a motherfugin miss there. Also liked the way our new GM navigated the draft and was willing to swing trades and bring in FAs, so much different than he who shall remain nameless. But now? Coaching staff has regressed in a big way. Darnold has been so bad that It was a serious debate on whether to trade the remaining draft capital we had over the next 3 years for a player that may or may not be able to play football anytime soon. The 2022 QB class doesn’t look all that promising and we probably win too many games to get a top 5 pick. We don’t have a second or third round pick already. I can already hear the drum start to beat for a local reclamation project like Trubisky or Daniel Jones to be sold as needing a change of scenery and they will be effective here with our offense. So yeah, demoralizing is the word for me.
  21. Bengals are 3-1, just like we are. It’s ok if you don’t know the NFL outside of the panthers, just stick with UNC sports. I give you credit at least for knowing about UNC football, most UNC fans like the basketball team and pick Alabama as their football team.
  22. Voted on by the players, so it sounds like they might have a bit of insight. The most notable current player in the NFL that went to UNC is the trivia answer to “What QB will forever be known as the guy the Bears massively reached on ahead of Future Hall of Famer Patrick Mahomes”?
