With Sanders in the mix, it’ll be interesting to see how the Panthers handle the free agency of D’Onta Foreman, who led the team in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns last season. Foreman has yet to agree to terms with another team, and he could still be viewed as a worthwhile complement to Sanders this season.

Jalen Carter Officially a Walking Red Flag
KatsAzz replied to WUnderhill's topic in Carolina Panthers
Talk about being ones worst enemy.J alen Carter once had the world by the tail and now it looks like he's blowing it. -
That's what I am thinking and I could not blame him.

The Packers have lost their mind if they think a team would be stupid enough to give them two first rd draft choices.
-
Probably had a bad case of the heartburn to go with it. LOL

Hmmmmm!!! Looks like Tampa Bay wants to finish this season low enough to draft a future franchise quarterback.

Panthers sign Bengals TE Hayden Hurst
KatsAzz replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like tight end Hayden Hurst, just hope he proves worthy of the three-year, $21.75 million contract with $13 million fully guaranteed at signing. -
Seems to be the trend of the day.

NFL Free Agency Capsule: WR Parris Campbell Campbell proved his durability while showcasing his playmaking skills during the 2022 season. 2022 by the numbers: 17 games (16 starts) 980 snaps 91 targets 63 receptions 623 yards 3 TDs 5 rushes 58 yards Career stats: 32 games (24 starts) 1,416 snaps 144 targets 97 receptions 983 yards 5 TDs 11 rushes 108 yards What you need to know Campbell set out to prove in 2022 that he could be durable and reliable after three years of awful injury luck limited him to just 15 games from 2019-2021. Not only did Campbell play in all 17 games, he played the second-most snaps among Colts skill position players – behind only Michael Pittman Jr. – in 2022. And Campbell was productive when he was on the field despite having the seventh-lowest average air yards per target (6.4) among wide receivers last season. He flashed his explosive acceleration and top-end speed on a handful of occasions, like his 28-yard jet sweep sprint against the Washington Commanders in Week 8 and his catch-and-run touchdown against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10. Pro Football Focus ranked Campbell as the No. 7 free agent wide receiver in 2023, and at 25 years old, he'll be among the youngest free agents available this spring.

Panthers sign Bengals TE Hayden Hurst
KatsAzz replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
TE Hayden Hurst was a very good signing if the Panthers got him at a decent price and didn't over pay. He's likely targeted by the Panthers as a pass catching TE who can provide a reliable safety valve for their rookie quarterback. -
There is no way I would even think about, must less condider, paying TE Hayden Hurst that type ($9 million) money.

Panthers showing interest in RB Jamaal Williams
KatsAzz replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Jamaal Williams commands 5 million or less a season on no more than a 2 year contract, I could see the Panthers interest. But if he gets more elsewhere, then good for him. We don't want to overpay. The FA RB pool is large and the draft is deep at RB. There will be a large supply of RBs out there. -
The Panthers will be Andy Dalton's fifth team in as many years. He started at some point for the previous four, playing 14 games for the New Orleans Saints last season. Dalton posted a 95.2 quarterback rating and 7.6 yards per attempt, his highest marks since 2015, with 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions when replacing Jameis Winston in Week 4.

I admit it was a pleasant surprise when I saw the Panthers had obtained Andy Dalton and at such a team friendly price.

I would like to see Drury get some action to see what he has got.
-
I was somewhat surprised when I read that the players, themselves were not really interested in playing in the NIT.
-
I am glad we didn't sign him last year, we might have won the NFC South, been in the playoffs and could not have afforded to move up to # 1 in this years draft.
-
I don't think that would happen because i feel that Stroud/Young will be more advanced in their game and ready to start than Fields was.
-
We can always require him to wear a dark hair piece. LOL
-
In the event the startinq QB is out for a spell, Andy Dalton is good enough to carry the team, within reason, until the starter returns.
-
(" $10M for two years.") I am surprised the Panthers got such a god quality, back up QB at that reasonable of a price.
-
I think the signing of Andy Dalton was a good deal because he is a capable starting quality player who can plug in if the first rd. pick isn't ready to start early in the season.

This could be the year Sam Darnold puts it all together if he ever gets a chance to start for the 49ers.
