Lets talk about the possibility of the Bears moving on from Justin Fields and selecting another QB (probably Caleb Williams) There are some very compelling ideas here: Reset the salary structure with a rookie QB and take Caleb (or someone else) #1 Stick with Fields and trade the #1 pick for a treasure trove of assets Now…if a team in the top 3 wants a trade up I am doing that immediately. I don’t really think Caleb is better than these other QBs. I personally like Daniels at #1. Also like Maye over Caleb. So if I can’t get a trade I would draft Daniels and wait on Fields personally. Until someone gives me a great trade (which will happen) he is a Bear. Post your thoughts

Everyone keeps saying WR and we should mine the depth of that position in the draft, totally agree. But, this team needs to build through the middle of the field in the next 3 seasons. RB, QB, IOL, IDL, MLB and SS. When this team made the Super Bowls we were elite in those areas. WRs can be had in the draft as the college game is sending a ton of them with the wide open schemes being used by literally every team. This is a 3 to 5 year plan for me.

Great comments by JA. So true. Will say they have handled things in a player friendly way under Fitty. CMC and Moore were more than happy with their situations. But honestly this is a tough business and the team has to get everything it possibly can for Burns. Time for being the nice guy are over

Been listening to a lot of the C3 podcast and Cody has changed my mind on Burns. I don’t like trading away good players when we don’t have any but Burns wanting 30 mil per range with our current situation doesn’t compute. Tag and trade feels like a real possibility if some team wants to pay him. I want picks and a first absolutely has to be included. It’s time to move him. He is legit worth 22-24 range but that’s overpaid IMO. He is definitely the best player in free agency with his age and talent and we have to cash that in

If the compensation was 2 firsts we need to take it. We have Brown to resign as well as Luvu and we need to build an entire offense basically. Maybe even 1 first would do it if mid round. I don’t like the idea of letting good players walk but his asking price is too expensive for what he has done here
