If we get the Purdue version of Scourton he will be much better than Walker could ever be in our system.

I’m expecting a breakout season from Ja'tavion Sanders

And a very talented OL that has good chemistry. Both starters and depth -
Round 5, Pick 27 (#163) - Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame
Murph replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
He is a good blocking TE. He has a great chance on making the roster after final cuts. -
I think this statement pretty much sums up the Sanders situation: ”You never recruit your own problems”

That great LB from Ohio State, Jack Sawyer is still available.

Moving on to the 2nd round discussion

Round 2 - Panthers Select Nic Scourton at pick 51
Murph replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
From NFL.com: He attacks QBs like a junkyard dog, which sometimes is effective. -
I just realized if we had lost to the Falcons and had the 6th pick, I don’t think last nights outcome would be any different for us. Tet was top five on their board

The best moment of last night

lol, Bryce torches them in the season finale so they get two pass rushers in the first round and give up the farm for one of them.

Nobody is considering Will Johnson?

Ranking every Panthers draft class alex zeitlow observer
Murph replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cam is our greatest player but he alone shouldn’t bring that draft class up to #3. 2021 at 16 seems a little low. -
FWIW, rumors are circulating that Denver is actively looking to trade up for an offensive playmaker to help Bo Nix. #20 & #51 for #8 works out pretty well.

Will the Panthers Trade Out of the #8 Pick
Murph replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
My gut feeling is that Sanders is still there with our pick and the Colts at 14 want to leap the Saints to get him so they offer us a fair deal. No fleecing on either side. Something like getting their 3rd this year and next years 4th. -
I thought Aaron Roger’s to the Steelers was 90% a done deal. So why would they trade away the farm to move up for a qb? Dart should be there at 21.
-
It took a few weeks for this revised roster to get some traction but now it’s really fun.
-
I’m going with Nick Emmanwori as the pick right now. Charlie Campbell has him ranked 5th on his post combine big board and another safety is needed.
-
Like 90% of all contributors on offense are returning. Only Miles Sanders, Ian Thomas and David Moore are (probably) gone.
-
1st and 3rd LOL. They’ll be extremely lucky just to get a third.

What is Dan Morgan looking for at the combine?
Murph replied to Basbear's topic in Carolina Panthers
I see him as a hybrid dt/de that can do a little bit of everything on the line. Think way back to Justin Tuck for NY -

So is it true that part of the big jump in the cap is due to the additional revenue that the Kelce/Swift relationship has brought to the NFL which is estimated to be $1 billion? Or is that just social media fake news?

BH's Big Board/Top-40ish Prospects (long write-up FYI)
Murph replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am so on board with Mason Graham that if he’s still on the board for the Jets pick I hope we move up a spot to snare him. A 4th and future 7th would probably do it. -
lol. Bradshaw was pissed he couldn’t get to talk.
