Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History
panther252 replied to dep's topic in Carolina Panthers
We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down. -
Which one of evero's family members poo'd the OP?

Lowest Yards Per Completion...All Time.

Gibbs was basically used as a wr in Bryce's final year. Gibbs was incredible. -
I'd like to have another year to see with someone as raw as legette. The thing is, I feel like he's the kind of guy where you need to manufacture touches for him like Deebo or else you'll need to really work on developing him, which I doubt we can. We need guys who are immediately good out of the gate like Tmac. The problem with our team is you can't even properly evaluate or develop a lot of these guys because look at what our offense is. When we're passing for 50 yards a game and 90% of it is in the 4th quarter, everything is going to look awful. Assuming we can even complete passes, this offense has no chance of supporting three receivers. We can barely support one. If defenses don't give us everything on a platter we're completely fuged most of the time.

I'll have to say Gamble and Lucas as well. There was one brief little stint where Lucas was ridiculously good. Very hard to get anything by him, along with Gamble who was always very steady and underrated. Norman and Peanut were really good too, but I feel they were more a product of our front 7 that year. Clean pockets were at a premium, so most passes were either hurried or off a little, on top of Norman playing at an elite level it basically was overkill.

Not even worth it with Bryce. The highs are just ok, but lows are literally the worst starting qb in nfl history potential. -

If we had any generic marginal starter/cusp backup in at qb we spank these guys -

I hope we force feed Rico for the rest of the game. He does his best when he just gets exhausted from touches -

Ex-Panther great Jeremy Shockey on Bryce Young

That's probably as fair an analysis as it gets. Skeptical that he's the long term answer, but not ruling him completely out since he has room to grow. Highs are ok, but lows are very bad. Most of us are realistic and don't think he's the future, but hope he can win us some games because as of now he's our guy.- 36 replies

Hes a lot smoother than Jackson. Jackson looked huge and played huge like a big catch radius possession dude. The AJ Green comps are better. He looks like he's floating out there sometimes when he nabs the ball.
