  1. I think if we had our #1 overall pick, the Bryce Young experiment would have basically been Clausen 2.0 and we moved on taking one of these dudes. And that's all he got. Stays on the roster and probably had a better shot at re-emerging than Clausen did though.
  2. if Bryce Young leads us to the #1 overall pick in year one and in year 2 leads us back to the top 3......you then replace Bryce Young.
  3. in fairness, Clemson has 4 members of their defensive front going in this draft.....and you could argue those 4 dudes don't even represent the best of that front. I mean, when Clemson's front came to play, it was one of the best in nation. That's a stacked D up front in terms of talent.
  4. in fairness, Kenny Chesney probably is more entertaining than a Carolina Panther game. And I hate Kenny Chesney/country music.
  5. Happy Meal might be the most sensible thing at McD if you think about it. Cheaper than adult meals (which are the price of sit down restaurant at this point) and is less bad food you are putting into your body vs a bigger adult meal.
  6. I'd have gone with soccer over the dumb concerts. I mean, at least prioritize sports given that's the primary thing you are supposed to be.
  7. and each draft is it's own thing. It's WR heavy.....and then on top of it, the first round is going to have more QBs likely going than average. Also a good OL draft. So talent wise. Some of these WRs going at the end of round 1 would be going higher if this was another draft class they were coming in with.
  8. I would say in the last half decade....we have been able to sign multiple defensive players that were better at their jobs than Burns is at his. Dumping huge money into Brian Burns just doesn't make sense. We can find players on defense. Can we find a Burns clone? Probably not. Would anyone actually seek a clone an edge player though if you are looking for one? Goal is to build a great overall team. I just don't see how Burns given his assumed price tag makes any sense.
  9. 3-5 wins. That's what I see. Any team can largely stumble into that realm pending how the ball bounces.
  10. looks like a kid that won a chance to meet a real NFL player. I mean, visually that is horrible. Like Bill Parcell said, kid better walk on water. As in, you shouldn't draft that.
  11. Broncos. Because in addition to the picks they paid Wilson a trillion billion dollars....and now have to eat that dead money.
  12. I'm talking game watcher. Jekyll Hyde. Especially 2022 where he sort of emerged.
  13. Rattler is an odd duck. If you took away like 4 games from his college career.....he is a UDFA. And if you just pay attention to like 4 games, you think he could be good.
  14. I think you could build a good run with Field's help and just ask him to make a handful of throws each week. Old school Pittsburgh football. New OC has always been around Os that had fairly athletic QBs where they largely asked of them what you would ask of Fields too.
  15. Wharton might be my most underrated Panther of all time. Captain, might be the best value pick in Panther history. 7th round pick for a top tier nickel CB. We just got desperate and asked too much of him.
  16. Clemson players have never done the Panthers wrong in the draft. Ever. Reason 343 why they are the better college team.
  17. David Tepper is George Constanza. Only he hasn't figured out the whole opposite thing yet.
  18. That was bologna and my soapbox all last offseason. Same folks that sold you all sorts of other lies. Sanders was graded as THE worst rec RB out of every RB in the entire NFL his last year in Philly (PFF may be flawed but isn't THAT wrong). People around here just didn't want to hear it. He graded another year at near the bottom of all RBs in addition to that. In terms of being a pure rusher, the OL set him up in Philly to have the most yards precontact in the NFL that last year. And his production wasn't great once he saw contact. And Philly phased him out down the stretch because he wasn't bringing enough to the table. He is an okay early down rusher. That's Sanders. And we knew that when we signed him. The Panther PR was just something different coming off the wasted CMC trade.
  19. we had no plan last year and bad marriages all over the field. A backfield of 3 earlier down runners (if you add a power RB) isn't the setup Bryce Young needs. Nor is slow Adam Theilen in the slot. Move on from Bryce or actually cater to his skills set. I'm no fan of no mans land. We have a billion fixes. A pass catching RB is a dirt cheap fix. And we avoided the obvious and easy add last year given Bryce was our QB. It's not #1 on my list of things to fix. But it's an easy and cheap fix. So we should at least be checking those type fixes off the list. I mean, early down runners can still catch passes. Like I said, I think they realized it last year w/ the move to bring in Cohen. It just didn't work. Why they waited so late for an easy fix to a hole I don't get. That's got to be part of a Bryce O.
  20. Fields seems to have good locker room support and likability from the Bears. It's not like a Caleb Williams personality Tomlin would be dealing with. *Fields would be a dream compared to some of the folks Tomlin has had to manage.
  21. too big of a rah rah personality to put behind someone that plays call of duty all day.
  22. Why rule out Pitt? I think they could make it work if Tomlin wanted to. Slash 2.0
  23. I got no beef with Hubbard. But he isn’t a receiving RB. We don’t have that rostered. There is still a difference. I just think it matters given you are trying to survive and do something with Bryce Young which I think they sort of acknowledged late with that Cohen move that didn’t pan out. Sanders messes up the backfield. Hated that move from day 1.
  24. It will match some of our other position groups too then. As of right now we got a bottom everything group on O. Basically just pick a position group
  25. I don't see how any team is going to want Wilson as a backup QB. I think it is starter or sit for an injury. Some QBs just don't work as backups.
